New battery. I'm guessing what was the factory batt. died. Went with Duralast Gold from AZ.

Doesn't hold a 5 battery, it's not tall enough. I tried using that one, and it kept jolting loose.

What maglite holder? I might be a little confused but lets say I do own a maglite and I would like to keep it in my truck, where would the holder be?

Today I installed a TRD exhaust a TRD CAI and my rampage 3" side tube steps. I just ordered my toytec 3" spacers and my toytec 2" AAL for the rear....

Why did your battery die. You have a '11. It should not have died that fast. Was it still under warranty?

Alternator not keeping battery charged maybe?

It might be easier/cleaner/cheaper to just buy a HomeLink unit from a junk yard and wire that up instead. I found one from a sun visor that was gray that was well under $20 that I cut into the headliner. The nice thing is HomeLink is universal so you can program them for any opener whereas the one he has pictured will only work for that brand (looks to be Craftsman) of garage door openers. If you have a Craftsman opener and then decide to install a Genie opener or move to another house or what to program a button at someone else's house or a century gate or similar you will have to worry about compatibility. With the HomeLink unit you're set to control anything that works with a HomeLink module. Just my $0.09 adjusted for inflation.

The whole point of this mod is to hide the garage door opener. A lot of thieves are learning to break into cars parked out front, then open the garage with an opener that is in plain sight.

And that you did. I'm just saying there are other options that would be more universal if that's what someone was interested in. Here's how mine looks (I've done a few like this now) and it could just as easily be mounted under the sun visor or somewhere else if you were that worried about it.

what's this POR 15 people are using? and whys it good and where can I get some? lol
also, anyone else have this issue...my steering is acting weird. its fine going in a straight line but when I turn it seems to, stick and become tough to turn. when I'm going at slow speeds, say turning a corner, sometimes the steering would stick and wouldn't straighten out after a turn and I would physically have to turn it to go straight with moderate force....
and power steering fluids are good.

any thoughts / advice would be great!!!
