Covered up a few paint chips....:(
The truck was loaded up with trash after spring cleaning the garage/basement. Gotta make a trip to the local trash authority to properly dispose of atleast 20+ old gallons of paint, old pesticides, old chemicals, old oil, antifreeze....

First hosed the mud off from the Hull Mtn Run that a few Tacoma friends enjoyed together.
Then installed the spare leaf springs for the rear leaf setup. It was a overload spring that came with the Dakar pack.
Took off the mud tires and put the Hwy tires back on. Saves on gas from 33's to 30's:D

I installed a new head unit on Saturday along with some new door speakers. The head unit is a Kenwood Excellon X6993. Saturday I got the Wet Okoles via Fedex and installed them yesterday. I ordered the black with charcoal. The pics show the charcoal as a little bit lighter than the actual color. Only thing left is to install the Billies and new tread.

future plan of 2" drop and any type of rim thats not a steelie. grille and BHLM mods, maybe....
got my Extang Full tilt bed cover, again....first one Fed Ex beat to snot and the gaskets were all peeling off the frame, struts were bent and leaking....must have been an old kit.

To be blunt....the cover SUCKS. it doesnt follow the bed rails, the front is short by almost 2" on either side, and it over hangs the tailgate an inch. In the front its almost touching the cab, so i expect some flex and rub from it....you lose most of your bed rail system too, the cleats fit but are a PIA to slide as they rub the rail design of the cover system. for 390+ shipping, i can think of better things to buy. i got mine off ebay for 320.00 shipped ,but man, Extang dropped the ball on this mess of a cover. Even the snaps are soft, they pop off with the slightest touch, like TOO easy to come off. anyone interested in one of these, look else where. ill post pics in a new thread, but this is what i did today to my Taco. Should have bought a fiberglass cover for 530.00 @ JC Whitney (shipped).......just my .02
