    Today removed all badges, stickers and other branded sh#! save the TRD embossing on the rims and the Toyota etching on the new deflector... not even the grill and bedcover got away unscathed.

    There is a Baja Utility rack on the way which will not even be test fit until the branding is gone... will replace the shameless attempt to have me advertise for them with similar letters reading "RECCE"

    Worked out very clean.

    I can hardly tell what vehicle you drive without the badges. You are certainly no longer an advertisement for Toyota! :rolleyes:

    I hope you also sanded off the logos on the sidewalls of you tires - God forbid their brand is clearly visible.

    I get debadging for the cleaner look, but to call it "shameless advertisement?" Remove the tin foil buddy - you can't hardly buy a product without their logo, badge, or some sort of branding on it. Why would a company create a product without it somewhere?

    Likewise. Mine is debadged because it looks cleaner, but I'm very proud that I have a great vehicle with a reputable brand.

    Well, it wasn't today but over the last week I have completed the BHLM, plasti-dipped my door badges, debadged the tailgate, removed the TRD Sport stickers, and got my windows tinted. A decent start since the truck isn't even a month old yet. :D

    Fair enough and to each their own but I do remember back when one could buy a shirt, pack, jacket... most anything w/o blatant branding.
    • No sanded tires but do have the white lettering to the inside :D
    • In my world branding is a method of "adding perceived value to the end user" ie jacking the price for no real utility...
    • Not "Tin-foil" my friend just business school.
    • Actually my truck ends up 'advertising' without 'branding' more than you would think... 5x referrals so far.
    • If one rereads more carefully the 'shameless advertising' was in reference to the Baja Rack. IMO 3" white letters above my windshield telling everyone what rack I have is unneeded. The branding is certainly not helping deflect the wind.
    ... oh and way to go pi#!ing someone else's personal taste... also added A LOT of value to an otherwise enjoyably build thread...

    Thanks! I was thinking derping the T as well, but I'm going to swap it for the Grillcraft MX, so I didn't think it was worth the time.

    I also have a satin black metal TRD badge on order that I am going to put where the V6 badge was on the tailgate.
