Truck is becoming all pretty over last couple weeks

I'm not a fan of chrome so I sanded and sanded and sanded the chrome surround on my grille. The painted it to match the truck. I also decided to slap a coat of satin black rustoleum on the emblem. It was a happy accident but I like the thin line of silver around the emblem on the grill. I'm not going to clear coat it yet. That's something that I will do next spring when I finally decide if I am going to satoshi it or not.



edit: apparently I somehow did the spiderman mod and can drive on the ceiling.

And yes, its all plati derp, the truck is Superwhite.

I like the rubber surface, no scratches and the rocks from my tires dont seem to be damaging the paint like normal. Also now i can set my keys and drink etc on the hood with no fear of scratching the paint!

I have to order more, i had 7 cans of red and 3 black lying around it was not enough to finish the truck.

next Summer i will be taking it all off and using a HVLP and derp by the gallon to re-color it. I cant decide what color i want. But who cares

Im thinking either camo tan, or the red on the whole truck.

 

also i think im going to sand and bedliner my chrom grill and rear bumper rather than derp.

 

Over the weekend I color matched the rear bumper.

in my 2008 i had a big blanket that i had back there for my dog, always wanted to do what you did but never got around to it.

Now i have a 2013, and they put stupid seats in that dont fold flat, one of these days im going to find a salvage yard or something and get the older seats for it.

 

very nice, thats what i went with in my corolla, accept my suede was lighter color.. it was a more work to keep clean and pretty than i want in my truck, but it sure is comfy
