Installed Anzo LED tail lights, Rampage Tailgate LED bar, and AMP Research bed extender. My truck has been getting a LOT of attention this week. heh

I got to find out the hard way just how much braking ability she has. A civic ran a red, t-boned a car, all traffic going 50 mph locked 'em up. I had two hands on the wheel and my feet on clutch and brake pushing so hard my butt left the seat. Felt the ABS pump near the end.

I never knew 4000 pounds could stop that fast. Thanks, Toyota. And dry pavement. Another 2 feet would have added Lincoln to my truck.

I made my tailgate a bit harder to steal. I did the hose clamp mod and added the washer to each side of the tailgate straps.

I'll be honest, I checked my knickers the first chance I got! All clean. definitely too close for comfort. Haven't had a scare like that in a long while and I hope it's not for a long time again.

I know it left the seat because when I stopped I remember dropping back down. I'm pretty sure I was using my shoulders/upper back to push harder, kinda like when bridging on a recumbent bicycle.

Can you post some additional pictures of this? I have an ARB and have been toying with the idea of installing a light bar. I haven't considered mounting it where you did, but I really like it.

Not even 2 weeks after having my brand new 2nd gen, I was driving to SC for Christmas with all my family and what do you know some dumb bitch, who was in the passing lane only making minimal progress driving the speed limit, decides to slam on brakes with the me and the 2 cars behind me. This all happened at about 75 mph. And what did she slow down for? A piece of folded over rug was sitting in our lane more towards the painted lane line and instead of scooting over to dodge it she panicked. I threw a few F-bombs and called it a day when I passed her and saw her husband chewing her ass out. I'm glad myself and the cars behind me were able to put on brakes!

Yeah, that's definitely a scary situation. Kind of like being on ice. That no control type feeling. No fun!
