Put my plow on [well actually back on after the last 18" storm] and cleared my driveway of the 5+" of snow.
I purchased the 2008 Taco double cab used with 22,000 on the odometer. It came with a 7'4" Fisher Homesteader plow.
Works really awesome. Cleared my 70 yard driverway of the 18" snowfall like nuthin'.
So today, i'll give her a bath and an oil change for runnin' right!:p

Replacing/upgrading pads and rotors. Serviced rear diff, spark plugs, and cleaned my calipers. The one on the left is what it used to look like...y8y8esu5_a5645a138048124a2446595d5aac9884c5eb96f6.jpg

Looks like the issue is me talking out of my ass. Dealership told me it was just a little leakage and I should hold on to my money . I know it isn't weight bearing but it seemed like too much play. Thanks for reminding me what a great site this is, Spencer!

Simple check, unbolt the joint from the spindle and grab the stud. If it moves freely in and out of the joint, it's bad. If it binds in spots, it's bad.

Sliders and CMC were done Monday. I just finished the matte black hood vinyl last night also. I may consider continuing it onto the grill but im not sure.

Took the Alternator out and brought it in for a rebuild. Has been very noisy for a few years now. Bearings are shot in it.

Installed LED in the dome light. Huge difference and can't wait to get the map light led's. Also did a cool center conceal gun mount mod I found on here. Way better then tossing it in the conceal to rattle around. I did the Maxpedition with extra mag holder.

Wife gave me for X-Mass my fog lights and my X-mass to me was the new wheels.

I don't have them wired yet. A bit cold here to do a lot of work outside.

Damn I need to get rid of the gray color behind the grill and the back side of the wheels. Looks like $hit.

Not really too complicated and I'm not a mechanic. I used the ECGS bushing. See below
    http://eastcoastgearsupply.com/i-8536125-toyota-8-clamshell-bushing.html

I had to replace my CV axle because it had some wear on the input part of the shaft. Toyota wants over $400 for new OE axle. See photo. I bought a re manufactured shaft.
Bushing, axle seal, needle bearing puller (ECGS): $135 + shipping
Re manufactured axle (your choice) mine was $90+core charge
Axle nut socket 35 mm $17.00 (Autozone) I had the rest of the tools.
It took me 4 hrs but now I could do it in 2-2 1/2
I followed Chase's (ECGS) instructions on installation except I used a slide hammer axle puller on loan from Autozone:
I believe fastest way and how we do it.
    1. Remove Wheel
    2. Remove Dust cap to access CV nut
    3. Remove Cotter pin and CV nut
    4. Remove 2 Lower Bolts that Hold Spindle to LCA
    5. With Spindle Loose Pull out and away from CV shaft, CV shaft is now only connect to diff, Take Bungy cord and secure Spindle with rotor caliper ect. out of the way towards the front of the vehicle
    6. Take a punch or screw driver, Place it on metal portion of CV shaft and Wack it with hammer to release it from diff. (You can use a pry bar to pop it out but it will bend dust cover)

if you feel like above method does not allow enough movement of spindle
assembly remove the tierod nut and tierod also.

If you have any other questions PM me and I'll try to help
Also check out.http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...nt-differential-bearing-vibration-thread.html There's a world of info in there. It helped me a lot
