What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

i've got to say, for 120 bucks i was very impressed with the quality

 

Broke all 4 brake lines loose and tightened them back up just a minute ago. Not sure if they were supposed to come loose that easy or what. But wanted it loose for this week when the lift gets on and extended lines are on.

 

Installed rear 5100's and wired a new OEM fog switch for my light bar today. Diff breather mod and bed lights tomorrow.

 

Mounted my rock sliders.

Finally got a new battery. Old one was stock, and it's lasted ~7 years. Just it's time I guess. After I installed the new battery it ran like crap. Hard, low idle periods. So I cleaned the MAF and the throttle body. Holy crap I should've done that much sooner. Trucks back to running way better than it has in a while.

 

Weathertechs and spark plugs, truck has 170k miles and still had the original spark plugs.

 

Installed mattgecko's LED bed light kit. Really brightened up the cargo area.

 

Nice! I'll be using his kit when I get my bed shell.

 

Today I won 2014 taillights on eBay for $104.99. Almost lost them to some DB, but 2 seconds left bid FTW!

I did a vinyl floor and clazzio seat covers, there on just need to tighten a few loose spots

 

Washed, completely de-badged, and finished the LED lighting in the rear today.

I did my first oil change today on my truck, it went pretty smooth but I didn't have an oil filter wrench and couldn't get the filter off by hand so I did the old screwdriver trick, I will pick up an oil filter wrench for my next oil change.


Oh and I switched to synthetic oil as well. (Mobil 1)

 

Added an aFe Cold air intake with dry media filter and a red pre filter to my 2012 today, also changed my spark plugs with toyota dealer Denso spark plugs and added a black TRD grille badge
