No warranty of any kind from where you bought it or the bank you went through to buy it?

I didn't purchase the warranty from the dealer and I didn't get one for the bank either unfortunately.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
You might try pushing the issue a bit. Even NY requires the dealer to stand behind the vehicle for 30 or 60 days. I don't recall exactly. And NY and CA are competing for the most ef'd up state award.

A lot of people ask about the reinforcement of the canopies but I am convined that having more contact points negates the need for reinforcement.

With the flat bar running from front to back with 4 support bars and at least 4 bolts on each side holding it in. I think he should have plenty of capacity.

Gave her a good wash, clay bar, polish (to try and get out the desert pin strips I acquired on Tuesday at Hungry Valley), and then a good wax. It's been way too long since the last wash/wax but being in Cali I was trying to be a good citizen with the drought. I just couldn't hold out any more!

I am not sure your level of mechanic skills but if you wanted to start somewhere pretty easy, a starter would be it. These are pretty straight forward to do and don't require any special tools. If you got yourself a Hanes manual it would walk you through step by step. Either way, hope you are back on the road by now.

Ya I looked up online how to replace the starter and it looked pretty easy. I just took it to a mechanic because I wanted to be sure the starter was what the problem really was.

I've seen it on older K5 blazers too. The weight starts popping seems that are not always near where the load is. The k5 tops are pretty stout too, so one would assume it could hold a fair amount of weight, and maybe they can and the ones I saw might have been grossly overloaded at times. I have a rack on the camper shell of my 82 Toyota 4x4, but the camper was built to be load bearing, and has a square tube framework.

Oh, Ya. I gotcha on the side to side if you have a lot of weight. I guess It mainly depends on what your planning on putting up there.

Eventually I would like to put a RTT on mine. I already have 4 Yakima crossbars to dispurse the weight. They don't weigh that much in transport but once you park, set up camp and add bodies the weight is over capacity.

Oh, ya. I did a Diff breather mod and relocated my compressor filters...

Almost done with the compressor install. One bit at a time.
