I put a canopy on my truck as soon as I found a good deal on one and it has been on there since. I took it off about a week ago because I wanted to have a truck again but the next day I had to put it back on. I always have some kind of stuff in/on my canopy, I worry too much not to have it on.

Yeah I'm kinda screwed the second I load up all my tools from my new project. I'll try and keep it off for the next month.

Cleaned, and put a fresh coat of paint on the rear axle housing. FU rust. Should be good for another 5+ years. :D

Building this rack addition to quickly attach 2 Rotopax, 1 recovery ramp, and hi lift (or shovel) on each side. That way I don't have to carry them all the time but will be easy to mount when I do want it.

I know I don't have pics, but I finally fixed the damn aftermarket remote start. The viper 4105v wouldn't crank over on the first try, so I had to extend the crank time yet again from 2.0 seconds to 4.0 seconds... Now, I don't have to worry about starting it and then almost getting to the truck only to have it still not started and not cooled off yet... Silly products.. lol

Does it actually crank for that long? Or does it crank like it normally should and you just have to have the Viper set to 4 seconds? Just curious.

it has a crank time that it will try to crank the truck for. I believe from what I have read and watched that as soon as the truck starts it stops cranking. I had it set for the default time of about .6 seconds and it wasn't long enough, so I bumped it up to 2.0 seconds. Even at that amount it wouldn't crank every time on the first try, so I just bumped it up to 4.0 seconds. That was a couple hours ago, so I will go out and hit the button in a little bit and see if it cranks on the first time.

Changed my fogs to LEDs. Forgot to get a pic of the bulbs. Pics are of stock, one and one, both, with rigid duallys, then all lights on. My 7 year old nephew put the left side in by himself.

Interesting... I can't remember how long my crank time is set to, but I know it's under 2.0 seconds. You might recheck some of your settings like the tach setting. You shouldn't need to set to 4.0 seconds on a newer truck like yours.

what do you mean tach setting? I didn't adjust that? What is your set too? I am looking at the manual and the only thing that is mentioned in the virtual tach fine tune. And it is not initialized as the default setting

Finally found the "click click click" sound that was bothering me for the past day and a half. I found a few rocks stuck in the treads of my Nitto Grapplers and each time I pulled one out I thought that would stop the sound as it was clearly coming from the tires. Well, when I arrived home this evening I finally saw what had been causing the sound, a bolt about 3.5" in length was burried up to its head in my passenger side rear tire.

Luckily it was perfectly located between treads and not angled so it was easy to plug, but so frustrating to see that in a relatively new tire (only 5,000km's ~3,125 miles of wear). Thankfully truck/car tires can be plugged and patched without further concern....I lost a motorcycle tire to a nail only 400km's after installing, that sucked!

I plastidipped my factory rims today. I've never done this before, but I think it turned out alright. (Pic was taken about 45 minutes after application)

I was curious what the truck would look like with black rims, without having to shell out a bunch of money.

It doesn't looked like you taped off anything, overspray on the tires the brakes look sprayed too.... Did you over spray your brakes too?... Please say no, otherwise you are gonna have that crap all up in your brake pads. What a mess that would be.

Oh Joy, took my 6 week old truck to the Body shop to get its hood, and roof repaired. The Shell install shop neglected to tighten up the roof rack and it went flying off in traffic bouncing off my roof and hood on the way off the truck.

Yeah, that's essentially what I'm referring to. It depends on how you installed it (I'm assuming "virtual tach" rather than "tach learning"). You might need to reset the virtual tach to help with the crank time. Here's what I just found online about resetting it in case you need it:

    To program Virtual Tach:

    1. After the install is complete, remote start the car.
    2. If the car does not start on the first attempt, let the remote start attempt again.
    3. Once the car starts, let it run until the parking lights come on.
    4. When the parking lights come on, shut off the remote start with the remote -that's it! Virtual Tach is programmed.
