Thinking of adding a second battery...

The wife loves it and so do I. Very roomy and comfy. I am not sure how much room your lady wants but there is some back there....I would get another one in a heart beat. We got the V6 AWD and it is great. Not sure when we will get on the snow since I am currently stationed in GA. Perhaps a road trip to the north might me in order....

We also got the towing package, but it does not come with the hitch bar. You must pay for that...I think is big BS that I pay for the package and no towing bar is included but at least I have the vehicle ready to go for towing as soon as the bar is installed. I think I might do it myself....

The console on the second seat can be removed so the kids can get to the third seating...sort of like in a van.

Thanks for feedback Rob... We need to make the rounds to the dealer lots and compare. I think I can get a better deal on the Highlander since I recently bought the Tacoma but gotta get what she wants once she decides. Maybe a little guided discovery is in order.;)

Rod, go for it bro. Take the lady to lunch and after that swing by the dealer. Have the crook, I mean the salesman pull a limited edition HL and have her test drive it for about 10 miles. Highway and street. She should fall in love by the time she returns to the dealer. The Siennas are bad ass but the van is not our style. But I will be honest, once we looked at the top of the line Sienna, all I needed was a pillow and a trailer full of movies. They are very nice. Perhaps in another 5 to 10 years when I get the next Yota :D.

    Good Luck.

Just did the AC disconnect during the defrost cycles. It dropped my idle to 600-700rpms. I will admit that due to frustration, I cut the green wire after kneeling in the snow for 15min. trying to get the connector out of the harness with a piece of wire, jewelers screwdriver, (which I now need a new set of because they are out in the pasture with the horses...they were needed there much more than I needed them here) all while tasting the fuel oil flavor of my mini-maglite. It is done.

All appears to be working well, we shall see!

Can you tell me a little more about this. This is the first I heard of disconnecting the AC during the defrost mode.

That doesn't block to much air flow so it should have minimal affect on radiator. It was a good idea and looks good.

I havent done a darn thing to my truck in days. It is at the dealer, they were gonna replace my fan for my HVAC, but they are on back order, going to pick it up today.
Maybe I can finish my Satoshi grille before new years. Its just so darn cold I dont want to be out in the garage working, I need a good space heater!

    seriously
if you are going to use a space heater in a situation like that
i strongly recomend an oil filled electric radiator.....
these are very safe and realitvly inexpensive
