Theretrofitsource.com. They have a 25% off group but code on here if you search for it. I'd recommend the mini h1 if it is your first time. I'd like another shot at the fx-r. I havent been able to see the light output at night compared to the h1 but as far as ease of install the mini h1 is WAY easier

I did the 886 backup light mod tonight. It was a perfect night for it. Wet and dark. The exact kind of night this mod is required for. For those unfamiliar, you modify a 886 foglight bulb by cutting the bulb from the plastic housing. I used a hacksaw and had no problem. Some use a Dremel.

Both pics show the drivers side light swapped out for an 886 foglight bulb. I did both but wanted to show the difference.

In the third pic you see the pic I took from the back of my truck looking down over the tailgate. One light has been changed at that point. The stock light shows no sign of even being on. Huge difference. Great 5 minute, 14 dollar mod.

I often have a slide-in camper on my truck which make visibility even worse when backing up. It's nice to be able to see branches and stuff that are higher off the ground but still in the way.

    Stock for now...

Yeah , just wanted to know if the fog switch was lit along with the other backlit switches on the dash when parking lamps/headlights are on . Mine evidently has the anytime mod of some version from the PO, and they can be lit anytime the engine is running for that matter . It's just irritating there is no pilot lamp for when the fogs are on - that switch you're using will fix that , and thanks for doing the leg work .

From eBay. Around $14. Bolts on in ten minutes unless you bugger the torx head bolt.

We'll I'll still be around posting, but I bought a new truck. Sold my Tacoma to the first person who looked at it and got exactly what I was asking.

Now I'm a proud owner of a 2014 Sierra SLT All Terrain. Tacoma's are great trucks, but you can tell that they are designed for modding and offroading. The difference in ride and features is huge from a tacoma to a loaded sierra.

    Time to start modding!

Guy I work with has almost that same truck, but his is a Z71. The ride is amazing and interior is ridiculously nice. Always super jelly of it.
