What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

When I first saw the placement & and more importantly the orientation, I was thinking WTF. Then I found the drain underneath. Love it! I use a empty Goop can, snap the lid on when it's done. No spills!

Try removing the secondary air filter, in the plenum. Doesn't really do anything. I got better throttle response after I removed mine

 

UG now has Trans temp?

Has anyone verified the temp on the UG matches the temperature check light range on the dash? Meaning when the lights on its within 115-130 on the UG?

 

I used a dremel and cut out the unnecessary large emblem. This left a huge hole in the middle, which was filled with ABS plastic. Plastic welded in, sanded and painted. Results;

It is made by Avery. It is called "Matte Midnight Sand metallic". Purchased through Ikonwraps.com. It is actually a greenish-khaki rather than gray. Its weird in different light. Here might be a better picture to represent the color;

The best part, it only cost around ~$550 for materials. If I get tired of it, just peel it off!

Is it hard to do the wrap? I have the vynil already but not sure if doing it myself or taking it to a shop. Also what other materials do you need?

 

depends on the material, it generally is not hard, just time and patience. If you want to do it well you have to remove alot of the trimmings on the doors, handles, lights, etc. If you want to give it a shot, generally you should try your hood first and see if you want to tackle the rest.

 

Ordered side moldings to protect from door dings. coupled with my sliders, i think my truck will be pretty safe...

 

Got mine aligned today. It was way out of whack after installing my 5100's at .85 which actually picked it up a hair over an inch. Drives much better now.

 

Should always align it after you do something to the suspension
