No pics, wasn't thinking at the time, but I pulled my daughter's Legacy out of a ditch. She was nose down after sliding off the road. The TOY pulled her up and out quite easily...I was surprised!

How many miles on the truck when you did it ? How did it look B 4 and after ? Was there a obvious visual difference ? Thanks. Curious George.

I did my MAF and TB cleaning yesterday at about 78k. There was visible build up on the throttle body for sure. CRC took it off nicely(used about half the can). MAF not so noticeable, but I'm glad I cleaned. I discovered the MAF was not connected completely to the tube so I fixed that as well(not sure how long I've been running like that) Took for a test spin after done and happy with the improved response. Hopefully I will pick up 1 mph.

Thanks for the reply. Did you use a link from TW to do it ? Just spray the CRC or use a Q-tip ?

I did use the "How to clean MAF TB Thread" but didn't really refer to it much. I sprayed the MAF only and used a tooth brush on the TB. I tried to give the brush to my wife afterwards, but she told me to get it out of the house "the bristles were completely black".

LOL. Women just don't get it. Mine just made me get rid of the oil/gas soaked rags that were in the garage sending the aroma thru the house.
    Thanks for your reply.

Thinking of adding a second battery...
Did it on my truck at 33888 miles. It had a slight sticky film on the plate and on the back side of the TB, it was a bit more dirty. It took a toothbrush to get it off as I did not have a lot of the TB cleaner left. The MAF appeared to be slightly dirty and after cleaning it, it looked like new. I took my TB completely off the engine. I disconnected the two small rubbers hoses that have antifreeze running through the TB body. I guess there must be a sensor that monitors the temp in there or something. I don't know but I am sure a member in here can clear that up.

I did not do any driving after finishing the job, but I did fire it up and it seemed to be more responsive whenever I gave it gas. When I did my plugs, I did not clean the TB/MAF until now, but before I changed the plugs, I had this minute shaking like if the engine is telling you it needs a tune up. After the plug change, the engine ran better but occasionally felt/saw this vibration whenever I had my iPhone on its cradle. Now I do not see it.

The real test will be tomorrow morning when I go to work, but I am sure it will feel like when I first got the truck in 2007.
