What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

If it doesn't fix it then they will be replacing other parts.

 

Got my extra 285/70/17 mounted to my new 17" spare. Making it fit under the bed tonight.

Lower spare, chop the two locating legs off with a reciprocating saw, primer, dry, raise spare

Bring it on down. Seriously though, somebody up there must have recip saw, an angle grinder will work to. I'm sure you chop it at the next meet.

You think this is the better method? I was going to take my 10lb. sledge to the tabs and beat them down.

 

If you can get that to work then by all means go for it. I don't think you'd be able to get them to bend out enough or at least enough to get the spare all the way up without it being at an angle. It's worth a shot though. It's not like you can mess them up especially if you are going to cut them off

 

I'll try sledge first and if that doesn't give me enough room, out comes the angle grinder.

 

yotamikez...used TC spacer&preload.....rides great,allready abused my truck with them, and no vibrations or weird noises...it worked out great..for me at least...ive heard horror stories about the TC...

 

Flashlight holder Mod.... Got a CB waiting to install need to research some more things first.

 

I used a BFH worked just as good
