    hit a pole on the drivers side :( tire started rubbing bad against the bumper so i trimmed some off.

    BFH method was about as easy as it gets. Took all of 30 seconds to beat the tabs down then 30 seconds to raise the spare tire. Tight fit but it's in there.

    getting there....
    did an oil change and a fuel filter change today. im giving the new pennzoil ultra a go.

    as for the fuel filter........i got it from autozone. i like to change them around every 10k miles.....and i'll recommend that to anyone. after 10k miles........i cut the filter open to have a look see.....and it was pretty nasty already.....and thats with using good gas.:D

    Please correct me if I'm wrong. You have a first gen with filter on the rail not the tank. Wish they still made them that way. When I changed my 2000 it looked like muddy water.

    yeah.....on the driver side frame rail. when i changed it after i first got the truck......ugh....there was rust and all kinda crap coming out of it.

    Picked up new oil filter and made an appointment to have a new interior rearview mirror with temp and compass installed on Friday... Yea... then I will be able to see just how stinking cold it is right now! Burr!
