What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Way back when I was in high school, (circa 1973) there was a very busy auto service center/parts store in the town where I grew up. They did service on all the counties school bus fleet. I was at the parts counter one afternoon getting some stuff for my dad when a school bus fell off a rack, landed on a customers '66 Corvette. The mechanic working on the bus just strolled out the bay door and from what I heard, never came back to work. It sounded like a bomb went off.....

 

What a story!

Especially, actually being there to witness it.

 

It was a nice day so I went ahead and replaced my differentials and transfer case fluids with Mobil 1 75W90 Synthetic. I'm just over 26k miles but I figured when I do hit 30k it's going to be the middle of winter. The last thing at that point I will want to do is be laying on the cold driveway for a few hours.

 

Washed the bugs and sugar cane ash off the truck tonight. Gave her a little spray wax too.

How do you get that on your radio?

 

Did the white LED guage cluster. Took about 40 min and I had never soldered on a circuit board before. This is a very easy mod

 

Today I did some little mods to the taco. I plasti dipped the emblems and put in some new fog lights( the old ones were a pain to take out till I finally figured it out). Overall pretty solid day. Up next I'm going to install the raptor style grill from Bp fabricating, I can't wait

 

The dealership should replace your headlights. They replaced mine a couple of weeks ago. The new lights have a glass housing in the headlight assembly so the Daytime light does not cause damage to it.

Changed the oil.
Wash and wax tomorrow.

I got my headlights replaced 2 months ago. It's free to get them done and the dealerships have the replacements on hand. Just drive up, tell them what you want and they take care of the rest. I was in and out in a little over an hour

 

its solid and pretty versatile, but i don't know much about pods. maybe Jerry can answer that @JLee

 

How many bulbs are there to do that mod?

 

Everyday till harvest is over. Annoys snow ash till then. Have to wash once a week....
