Pulled an F-250 and a Subaru Outback out of the mud while hunting this past weekend. Tried everything we had the resources to try, including manually winching with a high lift jack. My last resort was to lock the rear diff and it worked like a champ, no struggle at all. Also used every 4WD feature the Tacoma had to offer, which made me feel like a bad ass because I'm a city slicker M-F.

We did not try that. I probably couldn't have gotten enough traction with my boots. I was really hoping to do it without the rear locker, but the Rugged Fails are 36k miles old and they couldn't grab enough of anything with the mud.

Installed a N-Fab front light bar i got from @djniere on a trade for some extra spidertrax spacers i had in the garage. Thanks David for meeting up with me! Now to figure out which lights to install...Nfab 1.jpg Nfab 2.jpg Nfab 3.jpg

image.jpg Cleaned and removed rust from outer brake drums with Osfo and painted them semi gloss black. Back to new. Also this wheel has had the scars removed from where the wheel weights were and refinished with clear coat. Much cleaner look.

Thanks. West Marine may have a better selection of waterproof switches, but ones that don't stick out where they can be inadvertently struck by loads that activate them or break them may be a challenge. The flush mount seems ideal for this location.

Truck is looking good. I'm usually not a big fan of black rims but the whitewall tires offset it nicely with the truck color

I appreciate it. Yeah I had several wheels in mind that weren't black and I was persuaded by my fiancé to do the black. Now I'm glad I did.
