That was a productive week! Girlfriend and I sanded down an old coffee table and applied a nice new stain. Looks beautiful! That old real wood stuff looks great after refinishing.

While that was drying and she was working on sanding the legs I detailed the truck, flipped rear tire, then sanded and painted my rear chrome bumper and grill with Bed liner! Looks sick! If the pictures don't load I will upload tomorrow. Grill looks even better after armor coating. Took one week after this scrappy VT weather for the paints to dry and cure.

Is it on the drivers side only? If so, it was just put there to correct the taco lean.

@j_strength did you take your engine cover off before you sprayed it with gunk? My bay has been getting really dirty and I wanted to clean it up.

Also, did you cover anything up before you sprayed it down?

    Hey, thanks for the reply.
Both sides have that plate. I have a little lean, but not much.

Not today but last weekend I installed the Relentless Fabrication Hood Antenna mount on my truck. It's very beefy and does not flutter at all. Ground worked out great too, no issues there. I had to anneal the antenna base end and widen the hole to 5/8" for the PL259/SO239 type mount. The mount is 3/16" steel and it was work hardened. Attached is a Comet SS680SB dual band 2m/70cm antenna, 27". It clears the garage door by a few inches.

No and no. I did avoid drenching sensitive areas but wasn't too worried about it.

My pop and lock recently broke, so I replaced it with the OEM handle and then installed a U bolt in the tailgate so that I can strap it to the D rings in the bed. With the camper shell locked, it makes it pretty tough to pull the tailgate open.

Do what you want man. I've worked enough fatalities to have real world opinions on the topic. A TW members cousin recently lost his life up here because he wasn't wearing one. Out of respect for that member and their families I won't go into details about his condition on scene. I will say though that his two friends were wearing theirs and were treated and released on scene.

To each their own I guess....

Yeah I have also seen my fair share of ugly colisions - including fatalities. Many of them could have been avoided had seatbelts been worn by all occupants.

Injuries from lack of seatbelts are very common as well - even on fender benders.

I saw one where some lady's head ended up hitting the windshield after a low-impact rear end collision. She was in the front passenger seat and injured her neck and required an ambulance & c-spine hospital stay and lifelong rehab instead of just wearing a seatbelt like her friend the driver right next to her who had absolutely no injuries.

But hey, to each their own!

Give me some money so I can fill in this info
A friend of mine lost her child in an accident due to no seatbelt. There was a red light runner on a cross street and kerplow! Child in backseat was slung thru the windshield. A sad sad day

When my original Pop N Lock broke I contacted the company and they replaced it free of charge:thumbsup: Just had to show proof of purchase. The new one seems to work smoother I also made sure it was sealed, and I lubed the shit out of it.

Then I'm not too sure on why its there. It looks like its just a couple small spacers to bring the front end up a hair.

Do what you want with your own life. But take a few seconds and read this.
In the early 1970's my mother and I were going to the store in her Datsun. This was in the days before seat belt laws, seat belt lights or buzzers. People just tucked them into the seats since they were badly designed and didn't have the shoulder harness. As my mother drove to the store, we were T-boned by an elderly man who blatantly ran a red light. The impact slammed my head into the windshield and my legs into the steel dash. The windshield impact resulted in this:

The dark spot is a cyst that developed when my brain was slammed against my skull. It could have instantly killed me. Instead I got chronic tinnitus, memory issues and perhaps a host of things that will haunt my old age.

So, you can pull out the seat belts, disable the warnings, and do whatever you want. Just don't encourage others to needlessly throw away their lives but posting it here. Disabling the seat belt warning is like pulling the fuse on the anti lock system. It's just foolish.
