OME heavy kit all around. Seems like a stiff ride when not loaded up or towing. Is there any tuning that can be done to smooth that out?

Matte black would look good. Probably wouldn't do gloss black. The vinyl was only $3 a foot. So wouldn't cost you too much if u didn't like it

Add more weight to your truck. You bought their 'heavy duty' springs and leaf pack, what did you expect?

This was the recommendation by OME since my truck has a topper and an ARB steel deer smasher. I suppose I expected a smoother ride and a less bouncy off road experience. I'm not unhappy, I am wondering if there is any tuning that can be done?

It will soften up some as it settles. I have the same lift, it won't ride that stiff always

No tuning on the front. You can dick with the back by pulling leaf(s) out.

No tuning, only adding weight. The Dakar leaf pack is much beefier than I anticipated too. I have about 500 pounds in my bed and feel like I might not have needed the AAL. Mine does ride pretty smooth with the weight though. A winch with steel line would help too :D

The rear feels really nice. I am very happy with the leafs. My stock rear would slap pretty bad on speed humps and such. Its the front coil overs are springy.

Putting fat chicks on the hood is the only quick remedy otherwise you're going to need to drive around a bit.

It's always a bit weird for me to see other desert sand mica DCSBs (same year as mine even) that still have most of the original parts and colors since there are so few Tacoma's in that color scheme. Makes me realize just how much crap I've done to mine. Lights cleaned up nice!

I received my rhino tracks and installed today. Came with rivets....... I don't like rivets..... We have a sordid relationship. So I put them aside like a pair of legs and used some motherfuckin 1/4" stainless steel bolts and lock nuts. Figured while I'm at it imma reinforced the shit out of the interior with a piece of aluminum tube. Can also come in handy to prop a post up on to carry the load to the bed:thumbsup::benchpress:

I ground the head of the bolt to have clearance for the feet of the cross bars to slide freely tmp_12418-20160719_175608_HDR-31149420.jpg
I'm also thinking of doing some cross bars on the inside of the cap to have some hanging storage

That is rad, I like the idea of hanging storage in the bed. I've tried velcro but it doesn't work that well and the fabric on the leer has started to separate from the fiberglass.

What is the recommendation to keep those hole's water proof? Have you tested for the drip?

Instructions state butyl automotive sealant... Instructions are for those lacking testosterone. I just used some silicone around and in the holes. I should test though :rain:
