Made a feeble attempt at swapping the springs from the stock shocks myself, realized it was useless...took them to a shop for mounting, then brought 'em home and viola! New front shocks...OEM shocks were pretty shot, were leaking...

265/75/16. I have Bilstein 5100s set at 1.75" and going to get them readjusted to 2.5" on Tuesday. I also have 5100s in the back with the TSB AAL.

I'll have more pictures after I get the shocks readjusted.

did you have a hard time getting them back in? I had to have my dad stand on the caliper so the lower controll arm would drop down far enough so i could get the bottom bolt in:rolleyes:

Somewhat. The passenger side was easier than the driver side, I managed to push that down with my own weight while working the bolt back in on the bottom...

Driver side would not go down far enough with just me leaning on it; I did not have any help, so I put a bottle jack on the upper control arm and jacked against the top of the wheel well, worked like a charm. :)

Still wondering why the need for an alignment, don't think anyone answered that question; why is it needed, and what do they do to the alignment if it is done? Truck seems to drive the same as before the 5100s put on...

Stumbled upon the "black box" for the old alarm system and removed it. Now I can honk the horn without it disabling the ignition system.
