I had the gunmetal on mine too! Loved it, but decided to switch it up after awhile.

Looking for something bigger and more power then the 2.7 but how could you get rid of a face like this. Big dumbo ear towing mirrors and all. Almost traded it in today but I might have changed my mind. Not a lot of wind on the trip and it pulled like a beast all in mostly 4th gear.

Looks like it fits really well, I've got a $10 Walmart one that's universal. It works but I had to cut the top shorter and cut a notch to fit the rear view mirror. I may look into that one

Tried today actually. 2015 TRD only 5k miles. Got the "it's sold" email as we climbed in the truck to go see it. I think I want another 2ND Gen if I get another tacoma . I really thought the 3Rd gen was sluggish

Yea that seems to be the general consensus but then again I've read a lot of good things and it seems the majority of the people love it. To each their own
    I love my 2nd Gen

I put a outlet in the door, and mounted a phone holder using the oh shit bar bolt.

Not a fan of the phone, gps or whatever in the middle, so I solved it by putting where I wanted it. And the outlet is to service whatever device I am running at the time(just my phone these days)

Love the truck just cant justifying dumping that much into another 1/4 ton truck right now for what I need. This 2.7 manual is a beast and does enough for now

Have you seen the mod where you mount a RAM mount in that spot? Same idea but looks a bit cleaner.

Yeah, and relatively cheap too. There are also USB outlets that can fit in the blanks on the drivers side, so everything is over there nice and neat.
