I added Firestone Airbags to the rear end and a P3 Brake controller. Towing my Travel trailer was so nice.

Airbags were worth every dime. Did the install with a buddy and it was fairly easy. 2ish hrs.

Now time to look at some new tires for a better load rating.

Changed the spark plugs and woke up to a cracked windshield.

Made a pickup tool to pull the plugs out since I left mine at home (I changed the plugs at the station).

I present the Endotracheal rubber fishing line pickup tool.

I'm clueless, I have never changed my plugs yet. But I am curious about this special tool. Why do you need it and what does it do?

You have to reach down in the area where the plugs are to grab them and pull them out after you loosen them. Here's a link to the thread that shows you. You could also use a pair of line nose needle nose pliers to do it.

The plugs are down in a hole in the engine. It works like this to pull them out. When you pull the coil packs off you see how far down they are in there.

Makes sense. Thanks for the explanation. I will remember that.

Welcome man. Driver's side is a little aggravating but easy to do. Save yourself some cash and do it yourself.

I used one of these when I did mine - just make sure the diameter is small enough to reach down to the spark plug.

Or you could just buy a 5/8" spark plug socket from anywhere that sells tools for around $10.00 and be able to install the new ones without cross-threading them as well.

Haven't found one yet that would grab them and pull them out.

    Anyone seen my wallet?
They should all have rubber inserts nowadays that grip onto the plug to pull it out. When u go buy a socket.. make sure it has the insert

I will only accept your delusional exclamation because you have a double cab with long bed in the TRD sport configuration.
