It sounds like after 2012ish, the Tacoma switched to 4 sensor, instead of 5 sensor, ECU... At least that's what another dealer told me this after I left the first place.

It kinda pisses me off because last year when I asked about adding a TPMS to my full-size spare, they tried to sell me the $95 Toyota one for it... No questions asked.

But I wonder if your TPMS ecu can store 4 or 5 sensors? I just assumed that Toyota dropped including the spare TPMS... I wouldn't figure they'd completely change ecus to one that only reads 4 sensors.

That sucks they tried to Peal Ya!
My Denso sensor 550-0103 was $37.00 and is OEM quality. It probably wasn't necessary, but it's installed and is there if I need it in the future. It also matches the other four tires as I'll be including the Spare in my tire rotations.

It looks like you have the OEM hitch as well as the place the OEM 7 pin wiring harness goes. What's the story there?

Not a factory tow package truck. I'm adding it all in. (4pin was what i could get from the dealer at the time so i just went with it)

Already have the Tow package hitch and frame braces. Bigger battery.

When the alternator goes, i'll go bigger there.

Hopefully this spring i can get a trans cooler on it.

Correct! Just drilled new ones and tapped them out. BAM, relocated for free! I also sprayed some rust preventative spray paint and allowed that to dry before mounting it.
