I just love this community, such a strong running thread for so long. Well sh!$ now that i'm all caught up reading, this noob can participate. I just bought all the lumber for a sleeper platform build last night and plan on getting that put together today. Also working on refinishing a semi used Thule rack system (good ol plasti dip) [IMG]. i realize i definitely need to take more pictures of my build process.[IMG]The Wife made these effective velcroized black out curtains. I'v got a bunch of Makita 18v battery's that we are going to use for powering small things like LED's and phones[IMG]. Love it.

Curious what the finished assembly would look like. Do these go in the bed rails?

IMG_1080.jpg IMG_1084.jpg IMG_1099.jpg I wanted to get the sliders and rear bumper powder coated but the only shop in my town wanted to charge me $800 to do it. What?! I figure since they are the only game in town they charge outrageous prices.
Opted for some roll bar paint, spent 24 bucks on it and finally installed them.

Good call on the paint, better long term also because you can touch them up when you scratch them up.

The piece of plate with the nut welded will slide in the rail and the long bars will bolt through the nut. The second hole in the bar is to bolt the quick fist on it. I want the quick fist to be lower than the bedrail because of the sell lip inside

Did the SAI filter mod today. Took almost 10 minutes thanks to this EXCELLENT write-up! I did keep the OEM parts just in case. Threw them in a box with the other Tacoma parts.

I used Rustoleum spray-on bed liner to paint my sliders, I only needed one can for good coverage ($8 at WalMart). The powder coating was crap and started to surface rust after a year in places there were NO scratches. The bedliner finish is really hoding up nice.

Needed a switch for the new compressor, so I ordered that and I went ahead and got the switch for my overhead light bar. Just gotta wait for the truck to get out of the body shop. Both are from CH4x4. Sorry for the crappy pic.
