I think you have to have the toyota head unit. Looks like it doesn't work with the JBL.

Haha so I finally figured out how to do this properly :D what you need to do is format your USB drive as FAT32, create to folders spelt exactly StartupImage and DisplayOffImage , from there you need to make sure your images are jpeg format not jpg but jpeg. You add the pictures you want for the appropriate folder and then you can transfer them to the head unit :D If you are using a mac you need to use MS-DOS (FAT) for both the partioned disk and then main block device aka the manufacturer name of the USB. You can see what I mean with Disk Utility for Mac. I am not sure if it works with the JBLs but you can try that and cross your fingers

Looks like the ground wire is really close to the positive post. I would try to move it a little further away from that post.

Yeah I am well aware and was a bit concerned myself, this is work in progress. I only had about a foot of 8 AWG cable of red and black left over from my boat project and just wanted to get the main part done today. Tomorrow I will bring home some longer lengths and run them so they are apart and make cleaner runs. Thanks for the heads up and for pointing out the need to keep your pos and neg apart.

Unless you had squeaks, you never really notice a change from taking the time to greas, but boy does it just make one feel good about their vehicle!

It could of been the angle, you might of had a 2-3 gap between them, they just looked close to me. Good that you already planned on getting some longer wire to fix it, I'd hate to hear about someones ride going up in smoke because someone didn't say something.

It's good that you got the rest of the details worked out. The issue with the JBL is that those options are not even available on the setup pages of the unit.

Rear pass seat belt was not retracting. Was prepared to remove it and send the mechanism to one of them retractor repair places. But, when I removed the upper shoulder loop thingy, I noticed lots of grimy buildup that was creating friction and interfering with the belt closing. Scraped the yucky material off and sprayed some silicone on it. Belt now retracts smoothly. Did the same to rear driver-side belt.
