    Rear camera switch and radio dimmer mod. (I wanted to override the radio dimming out when the headlights were on, as I usually use my headlights during the day.)

    [IMG]

    Shouts to http://www.ch4x4.com/ for the 'radio' switch -- it's from their custom line. (You pick the graphic, text, led color.) They were super quick to send both the switches and very reasonable, price-wise. They also answered the phone with good tech advice ("will feeding the switch off the dimmed circuit, so 0-12v, work?" The answer is yes -- they dim perfectly with the rest of the dash.)

    I kept the stock hu but upgraded to components up front, 6.5's in the back, a 8" Alpine type R sub and box, and a 5 channel amp to power them all. I also had new cables run and a loc just in case I didn't like how the sound turned out. I'm pretty happy with the sound and it's way louder. I haven't felt the need to get a new hu yet. Ymmv

    Same here. With the stock HU, a LOC, amp to speakers, separate amp to the sub, and all new wiring I see zero need to ever install an aftermarket HU.

    EDIT: this includes all new speakers so the only thing left stock is the HU.

    Its a Line Out Converter. The job of a good LOC is to level off the signals coming from your HU and push out 'clean' signals to the amps which then amplify those clean signals to your speakers for better sound. Otherwise i think they just allow RCA connections from the HU which doesn't have that type of connection.

    So it would go HU -> LOC -> AMP(s) -> SPEAKER/SUB

    Have these same lights. I have tinted windows too and it was almost impossible to back up properly with the stock lights. Mine are 6 months old or so and have not leaked yet and we get a lot of rain here in Florida.

    Ha! Well a few places sell this kit (rails and two load bars), so they are the geniuses. I dig it though. Less expensive than the full rack, and I just didn't need the full rack anyways

    For me, cable harnesses and wire colors were the same. Having said that, mine's a '14 AC with the non-nav, non-Jbl HU. Not sure how it would go with a second gen Jbl.
