What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Replaced front diff bearing and cv axle. Nice and smooth now.

 

^How hard is that Bearing to replace?

Cleaned it out to drive to New York on tuesday morning. Ill be towing a 10 or 15 foot U Haul into downtown manhattan. So pumped. center storage bin lock ftw... hopefully i don't have to find out if it works or not. ill post pics of the U haul hooked up

Installed a new alternator and battery. Both went kaput on me yesterday. First time replacing an alternator, so that was cool. I'm gonna do a write up cause the way the factory service manual says to do it is WAY too complicated.

My brother (MMazz365) is visiting me in Colorado and we put a BakFlip HD on my truck last week and we removed the front mud flaps. Today we did the Rear Diff Breather mod.

Since I bought my 2011 Tacoma, I've also tinted the front windows to match the rears, put on AVS window visors and I did the cigarette outlet always on mod.

 

Got it stuck for the first time

Had a friend come and rescue me. He brought his fishing waders so he wouldn't get wet. I just sat tight and he hooked me up and winched me out.

Yesterday I installed the top plate spacers that came with my OME Lift, and also threw in the LR UCA's I got through the metaltech group buy on here. And today I washed her and sat back and had a few glasses of whiskey while I just looked at her..



(I painted the spacers black to keep a uniform look throughout)



Really loving the new UCA's. I'm taking it to get aligned again tomorrow. No charge either the guy at the shop said I could bring it back in after I install the uca's, he said if it he weren't there just to tell them I hit a ton of potholes.. lol.

 

Good. I seem to remember years ago getting some $ from home owners insurance - don't recall why that covered it but it did. Good luck.

 

Tell me you've done the rear diff breather mod already...

woke up this morning, damn battery was dead. my motto, "do it big or go home"

Vacuumed it out. Also had some whiskey and just looked at it.
