What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I will freeze them first before I install them. I will take pics. Them install my 5100s at 2.5Cause I go big or I go home.

 

Got my color matched grille in from oemparts123 yesterday and put it on today. Pics!



Looks a little bright cuz the sun was shining directly onto the front of the truck but you get the idea.

 

Winch install... Custom hitch receiver mounting plate so i can put it on the front or back in just min. ran out of day light, wiring it up tomorrow.

 

Well since I have a fold-a-cover that opens at the front as well as the back, and since the tacoma bed has a natural 1/2 inch lip on the sidewall.

I made a tool caddy-gadget box-whatever storage shelf

 

I had a blow out and had to use the spare...

 

That is a SWEEEEEET bumper! Was quite disappointed to see it's custom... I so wanted one.

 

How much of a PITA was that - getting the elevator to work - getting the little jack to work - getting the lug wrench to work. I dread the day.

 

Desqueaked my blower motor again in preparation for the 11 hour drive across the California Desert tomorrow. Heading to the dealer later to demand a 3rd one.

 

Washed the Tacoma and removed the bed mat for a cleaning of the entire bed. It really needed it after all the hauling this summer.

 

Dropped the "skid plate" and removed about 7 pounds of dirt from it



Changed the gear oil in the transfer case

Changed the coolant

 

Washed the outside, vacuumed the F*** out of the inside. went to the beach last weekend, had sand everywhere.

 

this makes me worry... now I feel i MUST drop mine and take a peak..

 

Put the over priced skid plate on.

duplicolor bed armor both bumbers, bought a headache rack and then proceded to cut it up to make it cooler shaved my head and and and....... oh ya wired up new kc daylighters ha ha

I did that today too! Looks about the same amount I dropped out haha. I noticed mine has a hole started in it though. Guess it's time to start looking at skid plates.

 

If you're talking about the tutorial where the lights come on when the tailgate opens (only "tutorial" i saw), then no, I didn't do that, because when I haul my bikes, I have to have the tailgate down since they're so long, and I didn't want the lights to be on all the time. I installed a toggle switch at the very back of the bed, so you can open the tailgate and flip the switch. I also bought a factory fog light switch and installed that in the cab, so I can flip the lights on from inside (you know, to check if my bikes fell over when I take turns too fast ). So you you can turn the lights on and off from two separate locations. It's super convenient.
