guess ill be callin the insurance man tomorrow. mostly cosmetic. but it broke lower control arm. and i just put that grill in like 3 weeks ago n its busted.

 

damn that big ass bumper didnt stop shit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

tell me bout it. allpro offroad didnt build em for much impact. but because the bumper gave way it may have saved the frame. so a few body parts, lca, n paint might get her back on the road

FYI......Im going to be working with Doug from Baja Bumpers for make a roof rack light rack specific for our trucks for those of you interested.

and maybe buy some real armor with the insurance check...




glad no one was hurt. I hit a tree maybe 25mph and my bumper took it. Bent the mount and did brak my headlight but thats it... Time for arb or relentless?

 

thats exactly what i need to do. i dont like how bulky the arb is but relentless is in consideration

 

^yeah i dont understand how that all pro bumper can be strong if its different pieces, makes no sense to me. glad everyone is okay and the damage isnt TOO bad

Just installed Muth heated signal mirror this weekend looks great amber for turn and red for brake see how they do this winter for the heaters

Appreciated it that much more after spending most of the weekend driving an Xterra.

 

Finally got around to the Yellow Wire Mod! And I have pics to prove it works <in theory >

Here is the connector. Second yellow wire down. I spliced male and female butt connectors in. Two reasons, If I need to return to stock, I can put them together in seconds, and this allows me to wire in a switch very easily.



Here is the switch, where Off Road Taco's normally have the A-Track button.



This is 4 Lo with no traction control, thus no LSD action.



This is with the switch in the off position, disabling the trucks natural function of traction control off.





I then tried a suuper steep hill climb in 4 Lo on the stock dunlops, and traction control disabled (normal Tacoma nonsense) and she climbed her like nothing. So I was unable to confirm the usefulness of the mod. But when the snow flies, we shall see

 

I debadged! and buffed. alot. 12yo black paint in az sun, let me TELL you about THAT ghosting luckily imma put on the 2nd gen badges, and black them so HOPEFULLY it wont be THAT bad.
