What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Nothing today but yesterday I put on a full set of Husky Liner mud flaps.

 

I have to agree that some people who go to BC(From the Prairies) don't drive accordingly to the terrain or the conditions. I'm from BC and I've seen what those roads can do if people aren't careful. I see it all too often travelling back to BC from Alberta, people speeding like they're in Alberta and slamming on their brakes at a corner or down a hill because of speed. I'm glad the rules came in. Who knows, maybe one life can be saved then it would be worth it.

In our society now people think that driving is a right and not a privilege. With those laws in BC it's to tell people that driving is still a privilege and not a right. And if those laws pull someone over and take their car away and preventing them from killing me or someone else then I am all for it. The only time people are going to care about the law is when they are pulled over or they injure or kill someone. All it takes is a decision, make the right one.

Washed her and picked all the freakin' willow leaves off. They get everywhere!

Then drove 4 of us over an hour to my brother's for Thanksgiving dinner!

 

Cleaned the K&N then reoiled it, replaced original spark plugs, installed Denso IHK20 irridiums, while it was apart, cleaned the MAF sensor for good measure.

Thanksgiving day had me vacuum out the inside.

Took the front wheels off and properly trimmed my fenders to avoid rubbing, still some slight cab mount rub when I fully cut the wheel but that will be fixed when I get 5100s installed next weekend.

Also painted my front and door panel badges black, I had a little accident so they got replaced, they are drying now and will go back on tomorrow.

 

Did some rust proofing on the frame today. Sprayed a primer that is supposed to transform rust. I really just wanted to get the rusting stopped.

 

installed a backup camera, no more guessing how close I am to object when backing up!

used my Tacoma to drive my new love seat home from the NEX - $150. Gotta love Black Friday! $99 X-box, $199 Samsung surround sound... I AM brag'n

 

Installed my new head unit, so much better in the sound department. Crutchfield was awesome with harness and plastics provided!

 

Cleaned my rear camera off so I could see when I am backing up so I don't hit my neighbours truck on the street.

 

Pulled apart my AC blower and polished the commutator and brushes with compound that I had from back in the day RC car racing. Used a product no longer available called "Prolong" to lube the bearings. Now that annoying squeak/click is gone! AC blower is whisper quiet now.

install my new All-Pro 3" Standard leaf springs .. thanks to all go have posted pics and advice made much easier for me to do .. and especial thanks to my brother in law go help me and let me used his heathed garage.

Blacked out the front badge, painted the side badges as well, still need to put them back on.
