installed the Hayden 679 trans cooler yesterday morning & flushed the transmission (didnt get any pics of the flush). The Hayden cooler is 3 times the size of the factory one, had to relocate the horns and extend the wire about 6 inches.

About 42K and the fluid was a little dark but didnt smell burnt. I used Valvoline MaxLife, shifts very smooth now. 11 qts came out, I put 12 qts in and maybe a 1/4 cup came out once I checked the level.

    A thing or two...
I've got a Prerunner, so I only have transmission and rear diff. It runs around $100 for what I need. I buy it off of Amazon, which saves me a little per quart but not much. Free shipping though. With my current commute, I'll be doing the change every 2.5 years or so. If I didn't have a second vehicle, it would be every about every 14 months.

It has been a busy and expensive weekend for my Tacoma. I did the AUX cord mod for my stock '08 head unit, cost $5 to buy the 3.5mm jack everything else I had on hand. Next put in some LED bed light strips I got off Amazon. Then installed a keyless entry keypad on the side of my drivers door (think ford keypad entry). Pain in the ass to wire but so worth it to be able to lock and unlock my truck without the keys. The unit was an ACCELE RS505 from amazon.

On deck I have a rear lift gate power lock and a soft roll up tonneau cover.

I have it mounted in the drivers kick panel. All of the needed leads for the door lock and parking lights are located there. Should have taken pictures, but wiring sucks and I wanted to be done with it as soon as possible. Can't see the unit at all, save for the keypad below the drivers door.

    yep..
Installed the ATOTO M4272 android head unit this weekend. Love it. All the features that an android phone has, easy on the wallet too.

Edit: if you look quick, the ATOTO almost looks like TOYOTA. ;) similar font as well.

Can you save music to the units memory? Seems they have come a long way since I last did an aftermarket radio 8 years ago..

Am I correct in assuming a 5 foot wide bed cap wouldn't fit a taco?

Yes you can. It has 32gb of internal memory, a micro sd slot on the front, and usb ports on the back (it comes with extenders to bring them to your glove box or where ever)

You can download/play media to all of those.

Good deal, thanks for the info. Will have to look into doing this, factory radio kinda sucks.

RuffTuff digi camo seat covers, bought used from another TW member. I'm going to have to buy new head rest covers, they don't fit at all.

With all this chat on changing fluids. i better start prepping my 2015 for its 30k that I'll probably hit in the spring. Even tho this should be a walk in the park, I most definitely want to do my homework and do everything right the first time. Diffs, T-case, tranny, 5k oil change.... anything else? which one is the "hardest"
