Any trick to removing the chrome surround easily? Tried this morning and the 6 clips at the bottom didn’t want to budge. Trying again after work today since I ran out of time

Finally got it 5100 lifted, took off my steelies and chewed up old 31.5" MT's and got my Durddy-Turdy-Trees on some SCS Stealth 6's mounted! Went with the air-soft balance bead method and MY GOD!!! Smoothest ride ever! Loving the lift look and ride off all my new shinies!

 

That thing is a beyotch to pull off a 2015. I thought for sure something was going to break. Just keep cranking on it, pretty soon you get pissed enough to pull as hard as you're actually supposed to and it'll come right off.

I finally adjusted my headlights after getting flashed for the last 6 months. Finally my high beams don't light up the tree tops anymore!

I got my CBI rock sliders painted and installed this weekend. Actually had my wife help me get them put on. I’m slowly getting her in the garage more and more. Gotta introduce her slowly so I don't scare her away. Haha!

Also installed my CBI ditch light brackets paired with my Rigid Industries Side Shooters. These lights are outstanding.

The new scs set up and 285/70/17 LT E-load BFG's are only 3lbs heavier per corner than the P tire C load MT's on the FJ steelies, plus the poke and width looks so noice!!!

If any one is curious I used 8.6oz of airsoft BB's a 50/50 (4.3 and 4.3oz) mix of .25gram and .12gram pellets to make the weight weighed on a digital postage scale.

It's like sailing on glass! Love it!

 

Yeah buddy! I know this beach well! (my profile photo was taken parked in the mangroves). I rip around there about once a month just to make sure my 4x4 still engages, lol. And it's a rule when you get to the end with the towers, ya have to cut the wheel and floor it to turn around.

I was honestly surprised at how well it turned out considering how much I don't enjoy painting.
