What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Finished replacing waterpump, idler & tensioner pulleys, and installing OE oil cooler (my truck didnt come with tow package). Took an extra day since I had to wait for the correct o-ring at NAPA.
Yesterday, did 3 flushes with distilled water, drained radiator/block/heater core.
Heater works much better now too (or maybe I am imagining that it does).
Cant complain about the wp, it lasted 141k.

 

Headlights are such a great way to change the face of a vehicle. Seems to be a common issue with aftermarkets. That being said i know someone with a Porsche 911 that would get the same thing occurring in their oem taillights so dont be too bummed about it. They look great though, hopefully the silicon did the trick. If not- Spyder headlights are on sale! have had no issues with my Spyders so far and we get 20-30 swings in temp and massive condensation nightly.

 

looooooooove detailing it myself its like truck therapy! actually found i can clean it myself in less time vs driving to a car wash where there is invariably a nasty line. that being said i dont have kids and have massive time on my hands on the weekend!

Morning ... did the oil change mod on my 2008 Taco ... I went with the synthetic so I don't have to do this so often .. Ready ... 325,000 and still ticking !!

I wish the rest of the truck was nearly that clean. I moved from a house down south to an apartment here and not being able to wash it whenever I want is killing me inside.

In the driveway lol. Apt complex doesn't have any spigots for me to use, and my neighbors would probably get upset when their cars were covered with ice from the overspray.

 

some company is covering all 4 doors in 3M clear plastic today. sick of rock chips on the highway. have had it done to some other cars and its an amazing product. yeah yeah i know “it’s a truck maaaaaaaan beat it up”. too OCD, i start countin ‘dem rock chips...

 

Keep heading west on 64 another hour and a half, and you'll be where I am right now. No Taco here for me though... 2 days / 2,500 miles isn't nearly as nice as 5 hours in the air. I do hate this Malibu rental with a passion, but it's what they have me at LEX.

Depending on weather when I get back home, I've got a wash/detail job to do (the first since owning my new '15), so I'm looking forward to that.

around $200 a door. it aint cheap but its amazing the way it protects. i even had a few scratches on another car that completely disappeared once covered with this clear glossy 3M stuff. additionally- ya cant scratch yer paint with this stuff on- makes washing it a more careless quick process.

 

This was done Saturday and I am stoked! Jason Speedfreak here in So. California (VISTA) did my BMC this weekend to ensure my new 285's do not rub. As always like with my lift install he did a fantastic job! He made sure it was done right! He did a little trimming and he flattened out that knarly pinch weld. Jason plasma cuts his own replacement parts, and uses great liner paint so there is not gonna be any rust. When finished it looks better than stock as you can see in the pictures. If you need a BMC to fit those bigger tires and roll with worries Jason is your man.
