Even the simple green mixture on aluminum? My engine is clean but I'd like it cleaner!

I'd be careful that doesn't torque the top of the bed stiffener and twist it all up or rip apart.

Like what part? You may need a stronger legitimate degreaser....

They're around $80. You have to drill holes for the ball mounts.

Radiator. I've read not to get simple green on aluminum.
My engine bay would be considered spotless to most so I don't need anything real strong. I'd just like to knock the dealership shine slime off it and then use the 303 for protection.

I was gonna say something similar. A full sized flag exerts a lot of drag, and will have a lot of leverage on that pole.

    Heck yes, you're doing well!

I've not read anything about SG & aluminum not being friends. I'll look into that a little later.

My radiator is probably the only 'dirty thing on the truck as well.

Just some dead bugs in there....I'd probably just use water and a scrub brush.

One thing you could do that might help, a fixed cable to the top of the pole, with a turnbuckle so that you can add tension, run to an anchor in the front of the bed, maybe use one of the bed rail cleats.

I sprayed that on my skid plate and it doesn't take much to scratch the liner off. Hope it fairs better for your application.
