This is cool! How'd you go about submitting your sample for testing?

I'm at 150k+ miles and I've only owned it for the last few thousand miles. I've replaced pretty much every mistake the previous owner made and caught the truck up on maintenance, but an oil analysis would be nice peace of mind for me.

Blackstone labs. You request an oil analysis kit from their website and then when you take a sample during an oil change or whatever, you put some into their bottle and mail it back to them.

    A thing or two...
Go to the Blackstone website and request a test kit. The test kits are free. Take the sample when you change your oil. Fill out the paperwork and mail it back with payment. Easy peasy.

I got a little 42 mpg gas saver that I bought around the same time that I use as my DD. It has close to 80k already. All the miles on the taco are "fun miles"

I miss my 65mpg Diesel Jetta... But I sold that back for the Tacoma lol. Now trying to convince the misses for a little Scion FR-S or something. But my '15 taco just rolled over 48,500 yesterday.

    This is a great idea!
I like the way the original smooth flares look, and was thinking of doing something similar to hold them in place if all of the mounting points broke off of the backs of the flares with a longer bolt-type fastener. The option of modifying the clips to fill the holes works with a color match.

I'm sure you've already heard, but I'll tell you again anyways lol. Blackstone labs, go to their website and request a kit and they'll send one out to you. It comes with instructions and the faq on the website is also quite helpful. You can also send in transmission fluid for them to test and maybe gearbox oil. I did my transmission sample at about 98k miles

Story of my life nothing ever is easy. Ready to push the taco over a cliff then set it on fire and buy a new one. But I won’t cause I love my truck just hate the body shops that have worked on her.

Installed new headlamps nothing lined up and the last body shop just used sheet metal screws to hold the headlamp in. I straightened things out so all the holes lined up. I went to put in my new grill and the bottom fit perfectly into The headlamps but the driver side is too high:annoyed:

I’m going to put in the old shave it down put on the new bumper and take it to a body shop for the new grill.

Thunderstorms all day of course so another day of working in the rain. Good news though my rust conversion is going well and the frame is looking better.
