What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

*****What would you recommend instead? I'm definitely open to suggestions. The 885s i bought used and I know the rear wont settle so the front needs to go up a hair.

 

Depends how much you want to spend. Any kind of all terrain tire would be sufficient. I recently got Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws and like them a lot. Very affordable for an all terrain tire.

 

Got 1 1/2 of the radiator supports done. One side was completely missing the nut on the bottom and the stocks were definitely garbage. Don’t mind the 5,000,000 bugs in the A/C condenser

 

Made some T-slot pieces for the roof tracks. I don't like what the Thule drop in nuts do to the track and want more nut purchase in the slot anyway. Still need to drill/tap for 1/4 x 20 SS cap screws.

 

Simple start of the headlight clean up. Installed silverstar zXe's to replace the stock bulbs, and am cleaning up the fog on the headlights tomorrow.

 

Anzo Projecter Light. I know a lot of members don’t like these look but I dig these lights. Installed them today.

I kept the OEM’s just in case.

 

Tonight I added 255/85r16 Dick Cepek Extreme Country tires on 16” TRD PRO wheels. Just a quick cell picture for now.

I had to order them through the store. I'm in Texas and they came from Indiana. It took about two days for them to come in.

 

Had tsl on my blazer not 40 but 37 12.6 16.5. Girl friend left. Oh well. She claims I need to see a dr. Or something. Claiming a normal person does not take dates out to "bfe sit staring at the stars, for a dinner date to some remote camp site to grill food. Or when ever someone says to seek professional help I ask someone how to better the truck" I told her I'm 47 I know what I like I like camping, hate restaurants and movie theaters. I am who I am if you don't like it there is the door. She left. So now back to finding a lift n tires for the truck.

By FJ, do you mean FJ Cruiser? If not the Cruiser then I would say FJ.

I just traded a FJ Cruiser in on my Tacoma. My son has a 4Runner Trail. Is your comments for off-road use or as a DD also? For a DD I'd go with the 4Runner. I liked my FJ but it sucked on the road.

 

Send an email back and ask them if they will replace your cable and refund your purchase if their “solution” does not work and the cable is chewed up.

 

I should do that, but I'm sure I know what they'll say.

 

Well I picked up my new boat from basspro today. I guess thats not neccessarily what I did to the tacoma, but I had to buy a BW ball mount and put it on the truck in order to tow the boat. So yea. There you go
