The wet okoles do have an elastic band, but if you take the inside lid off and tuck the elastic under it and then reinstal it, which is kinda a pain, you get something like this:

Still slightly visible when it is open, but better then it would be without. Nice work on your cover though.

NICE! if that's what it looks when you tuck it, I would just cut the band, and tack it to the cover with the DAP cement.

The center console cover has 5 small counter sunk screws on the outside (that panel when you open it), then 4 more screws holding the lid to the bracket that swings. The "popper" has only 2 screws holding it to the lid and is one whole piece, so you don't have to worry about a spring flying out or anything like that, just keep track of your screws and where they go.

"Nice work on your cover though."
thanks, that was the third try. did it twice, and strangely the first attempt was the closest until I messed up one corner, after that I got DAP on the fabric outside and it just went downhill from there lol. Thankfully the door panels and other panels will be easier. :D:cool:

I thought about making it permanent like that but decided not to. The arm rests were easy, but definitely use contact cement. 3m super 77 doesn't hold.

Or this stuff i get at our local flooring and tile store called wolf grip. Stuff is awsome! Its a spray adhesive but is way stronger then the 3m 77 stuff.

This reflects the black badging, rmoving LEER and LEER logo from back of canopy, de-decaling, replacement of factory driving lights with PIAA 510's and you can't see the rock lights (Tantum Vision-X) but I will get some @ night...

I think she is coming along nicely....

3m 90 works best, used to use it back when I was in college to paste my work to mat board. Even used it when I redid some speaker fabric in my old blazer. DAP is cool but you only get one chance really, plus you can't put too much on or it will seep through the fabric. With the 3m 90 you have a couple of tries, but it's still the same as the DAP, can't put too much or it will also seep through the fabric.

That sucks- I still have one vehicle with a K&N. I like the dry AFE drop in so far in my Tacoma, it looks like it is constructed just like a K&N but with a different element material. But, no more cleaners and oils...:D

yeah the nosie would come when i would go from 10 mph and faster. pretty loud when i would hit 60 mph. but i couldnt hear anything if i just spun it by hand. but make sure you have a press and a good set of pullers. that will help out so much.

Doesn't look too bad until you open the hood and realize both headlights need to be replaced (maybe I can glue the brackets back together), the braces are fucked up, and the driver's quarter panel got bumped enough to rub the bottom edge of the door when I open it.

Now I need a steel bumper ASAP. Truck needs to pass inspection in a month or so, and there's no way in hell I'm putting my $1,000 deductible into replacing that factory plastic bullshit.

Few weeks ago I installed my new clear headlights.

Then a week later, these piece of shit cheap headlights fell apart...blinker lenses "fell" out!!!!

So with the help and advice from TOYOTA TECH31 I took headlights back out, shook them until the blinker lens was at the headlight hole and used tin snips to cut the bastards up. Shook pieces out and tossed them. Then I painted the ends of the blinker wire plug white because these will be exposed now. Then put em back in the truck.

Not a big fan of the exposed blinker light but i had no other choice really. I wasn't going to bake them!!! The blinker bulbs are chrome and blink white so I don't mind them exposed I suppose.

This weekend, I finally finished welding the legs and plates to the 4x innovations sliders then sanded and primed them. I've had them since December lol...I've been too busy lately.

    My welds are getting better.

I will probably weld them on to the truck this weekend.
