I notched my front of the shrouds to mount to switchbacks flush too! Gotta run the wires out and epoxy the shrouds on! After I secure the wires that hold on the switch backs

10-4 0n that I have a Friend that is doing a life sentence because he killed a guy who was steeling his tools. The Judge said "They were only tools"

I probably have at least three sets of everything. 6pt 12pt etc. 1inch drive on down. air tools included. When I retired I brought my tools home on a flatbed wrecker. And still pay the insurance bill on them every 6 months.

I sold all my 1" and 3/4" M&I tools and all my spanners over 1 1/4"/ 32mm and all my special snap on tools for diesel fuel systems when I got off the tools. Really just couldn't justify keeping them and also wanted to limit my exposure to thievery....
When I was an apprentice we had a guy stealing tools and just couldn't catch him. He left us and went to work for International Harvester (showing my age here) and they caught him after he crushed his hand at work and didn't lock his box before being rushed to hospital. We went to IH and checked the tools the cops had recovered from his and his parents house and we had to bring down some of your own tools to prove to the cops that what was on the table was yours. Some you couldn't tell because the arse had ground off your name. Fucker only got two years..... I was only making $3.90 an hour at the time as an apprentice and this prick was stealing shit I hadn't even paid for yet...
Yeah, judges just don't get the expense that we invest just to do our job. I am sure that if someone stole all of that pricks yellow pads and his law reference books, he wouldn't be so dismissive. F those C*^ts.... Gets me blood going.

@floodedkiwi , I have a real good buddy his Son just finished his apprentice and shop time with Caterpillar and is now on a Field Service truck between His Dad and me we got him stocked up so he can do his job without too much tool expense. I wish I had someone to help me when I started out. My first Mechanic job paid $3.10 per hour.
One of the worst things that happened was when they took shop class out of Schools. If they still taught the basics now days some of these zipper heads would be able to change a flat and do a simple oil change.

That's the 2012-2015 control panel. If you want to retrofit, you'll have to re-pin the wiring connector.

Anyone have an idea for a price on a set of 4 stock steel rims, not nicer looking fj rims, the shitty steel looking rims, plus center stock Toyota branded hubcaps and chrome wheel covers? Just looking for a honest price on them, I thought $50 would be fair.

Shortened D.O. sliders and reconditioned while they were off so I could install the new fender flares. Pics of flares and sliders on truck soon.IMG_1094.jpgfullsizeoutput_18d.jpg IMG_1048.jpg
