greased up my battery terminals, started to drizzle some but got it done in time.

Installed some of Chris' LED's and gave it a bath

 

mine did the same thing...bought the terminal cleaner for autozone and had at it.

 

I think this is the third time for me. My second time cleaning it I sanded some of the terminal coating off, it's all brass like now (copper looking or something like that, guess that's why it got even worse this time). Put some hot water to both of them (didn't have to with the POS terminal but why risk it), ragged what I could, then scrapped what was left and gooped in a bunch of high temp grease that was in the garage (reddish, VERY greasy).

 

I don't know why, mine keeps doing it too...wife's car doesn't have the problem...

 

It's just corrosion from the elements, but it's also bad for your terminal connection. Since it's clean right now, I would get some grease on there so that it won't happen again (you can get those little grease pouches from like Autozone/Pep Boys/etc. or use Vaseline, mainly some kind of grease so that there won't be any corrosion happening).

 

use some grease that will not melt and run all over the engine bay when it gets warm.

 

Just finished painting my yellow fogs, they turned out awesome, waiting on them to cure before reinstall, then I'll post more pics

 

Installed smoked fog lights. New grill should arrive Tuesday.

 

I painted my rear license plate frame satin black. I'll try to post a pick later.

 

Just finished detailing it and my wife's car and while I was dressing the tires a crack of thunder hits from behind me. The storms here were supposed to be gone btw. Also moved them back into the garage and can already see the pollen all over them. Nothing like wasting your day.

The charcoal is not quite as dark as the dash, but the dash is not a true black. Black might have been closer, but the whole reason for this mod was I hate grabbing a hot steering wheel in the summer.
I've run Wheelskins on nearly every vehicle I've owned since 1994.

This one is a size AXX, grey/charcoal with "europerf" on the charcoal only. Buy from the outlet directly at http://azeco.net/ and save $20+ over the Wheelskins web site, and free shipping (the outlet charges shipping on his eBay sales).

Note the fitment guide... seems to be all over the place for Tacoma, but the fitment guide could be from customer feedback.
They show the following:
2012 15 1/2 X 4 1/2
2011 C
2006 - 2010 AXX
2001 - 2005 15 1/2 X 3 3/4
1995 - 2000 AXX

Notice that 15-1/2 x 3-3/4 fits within the AXX's range.
Size "C" is the same diameter, but fits a wheel up to 4-1/4 around, I suspect that the C designation may be for covering a factory leather wheel (SWMBO's '04 Rav has a leather wheel and they spec 14.5x4 for it)

So other than the oddball 2011 designation, it looks like size AXX will fit any Tacoma.

 

This week I did the Fog Light Anytime mod, painted the front emblem and did the Coca-Cola mod. Today, I gave her a bath!

 

Cut out some 1/2" aluminum top plates yesterday.

1/2" with 886s and OME nitros netted me a full inch of lift. Whoops. CVs will suffer.

Busted off the little piece behind the mudflap holes while screwing in my custom mudflaps. Rear is easy to access from inside and replace with a bolt and screw, the front is proving an issue. . .
