What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Agreed, one of best things done for manual tranny

 

This past week I replaced the radiator hoses, serpentine belt, front brake pads, front & rear diff. fluid, transfer case fluid, exchanged the transmission fluid (utilizing the OBD wire-jump temp sensor method to check level), spark plugs, cabin & engine air filter and greased the driveshaft jerks.....compliments to TW and DIY walk-thru's on the site posted by great members.

Total cost was around $400.00 and included a grease gun, grease, and 3 sockets.

Every step

I can put em up on TW Live or text them to you but it's super easy

Remove screws n bolts, insert spacer, extension, and new bolts, put everything back.

 

nice. is there a DIY for the installation? if not you should make one lol...i just want to know what i will be getting myself into if i buy the kit. i heard from everyone who has one that installation is cake.

 

I'm on phone only as usual so the DIY is now on TW Live. Go check it out. 30 min tops, super easy, and you have no idea how much sweeter it is to drive until you feel it. Night and day difference big time

No problem, make it next on your list man, you will thank yourself every day at the difference. Its wasting my gas already cuz its fun to drive now.

It says 44% shorter throws and eyeballing and measuring says that is correct but the actual FEEL of it seems even shorter to me

 

i always wanted a short shifter, but i never imagined having one in a tacoma until i saw it on the URD site lol. definitely on my to-do list, but gotta take care of some other mods first.

 

Sleeved my fog light housing today, after I tinted my lights.

Tail gate theft prevention 1.0 added.
Anytime fog light mod added.
Mounted shovel to Hi-lift.
34 miles of desert driving added.

This is a picture of the left side of the obstacle. The video doesn't do it justice. It was much easier last time with a whitecloud spotting for me. the jeeps with me either couldn't do it or wouldn't even try.

changed my oil and filter and did the 886 backup light mod

 

Installed a Blue Sea Aux Fuse Box and 100A circuit breaker.

 

I'm either debadging or painting the emblems. Can't make up my mind...

 

Paint first, debadge last...

 

^^these guys are awesome. There store is a few miles from my work. They have all kinds of cool shit. Lug nuts galore!!!!

 

I just modified my fogs to stay on with the brights. I didn't want to do the fogs anytime mod because I didn't want to mess with turning my fogs off during the day and then back on at night I just wanted them to come on with my headlights and stay on with my high beams. Details in my sig for those interested.
