What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Did some plotting and measuring for my Rigid Ignite backup light project. Was getting ready to cut some holes in the bumper but chickened out. Maybe tomorrow.

 

I had big plans today.



But after getting ready for my kids bday part tomorrow all I had time and energy for was getting my black badges on.

 

Cracked the whip and made my 3 year old daughter wash her. Installing that work ethic early so she doesn't end up like every other millennial nowadays! (Kidding of course, she "helped" but I gave her the wash)

Since it will be raining this weekend took the time on a dry day to remove License Plate mounted Back up cam and tailgate anti theft devices prior to got to body shop on Monday. Gathering parts, supplies, tools for 3 up coming projects on Tacoma's return. Bed light, under hood lights, heated mirror mod. Ordered Bed Mat from Topeka Toyota $75 free shipping. Digging trough a bunch of stuff from when I built CHP cars to see what might work for some interior lighting. Too old of technology for this day and age. Only found on light I might use for the dark area AC/Heat, fan controls.

Installed new fog lights. The original ones were UGLY.

 

My work drive is 52 miles one way, 104 round trip 5 days a week. Shit adds up quick!

 

If you still have the OEM ones and would be interested in getting rid of them, I’d be interested in them if you’re willing to ship them at my cost. I have a project planned and I need a spare set.

I have 172k on the drums but this is the 2nd time I have done the fronts. Rears will be soon

That side lower pin was a pain to get out so probably a stuck pin

 

This happened a few weeks ago, but still love the upgrade over the $20 lights I used to have back there hanging below the bumper. Rigid SR-Q flush mounts.

In an effort to mitigate being in another wreck...red for brake lights and white wired to a switch for when I need them in reverse.

 

Added new grille, need to run wiring for the LEDs
