Bought my 2007 Tacoma New, on March 9, 2007. almost 12 years ago today. lol

In November 2012 I only had 34,000 miles on it. I moved back to Florida and have been running around to Miami, Palm Beach, the Key's, Naples,. Ft Myers, Sarasota, St Pete over to Pensacola and Orange Beach Alabama,, dozens of trips to St Augustine, Flagler Beach, Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach I am at 93454 miles today

Modifications. let's see I put an ARE cover on it with a light bar. Changed out the grill because the Florida sun faded it out. I actually liked the factory grill. Pioneer stereo. I had to replace the W/S last spring because someone didn't like my NRA sticker and smacked it with a hammer. They also scratched up my headlights, so they were replaced as well. Thankfully they didn't key up the truck. Guess they were in a hurry at Walmart

Last month I replaced the nerf bars with 6" iBoards (really nice for $200) because of a pet duck that hung around in the front of my building and followed me everywhere. She liked to chew on the step pads but gave up that habit for some reason after I shooed her away several times. A neighbor ran over her and sent her to the great duck pond in the sky so no worries of future damage.

I recently removed the dirty 3M stone guard film and am replacing that with Xpel film next week.

I haven't done a whole lot in modifications. I've just kept her clean and I clay her every other year and have been using Turtle Was Ice on the truck since the day I got it. 4-6 times a year when I was up north, 3 times a year here, 4 tops This seems to have keep the paint in remarkable condition and protected from the sun and "chalking" Considering I live near the beach and often there is sea fog and rain, no signs of rust. I also drive on the beach when I go surf fishing but always clean the undercarriage off with a good spray from a hose after every trip

Just finished claying her and another coat of ICE on her about 10 days ago. I love this truck, people are always asking me if I want to sell it. No way. I change the oil five months to the day using Mobil 1 and Royal Purple filters , rotate the tires every three months. I also put Michelins on after wo sets of Bridgestones wore out Big improvement.Tacoma home 03.2019.jpg

I really love this truck. Never had any problems with it. Only problems I have had are with recalls and crappy service at Toyota dealers, especially here in Florida. My local Toyota dealer is a scammer and will rip you off in a heartbeat.

as for the spoiler, I bought the cover from a local ARE dealer up north about 4 months after I got the truck. I guess I hit it just right because they had one for my Tacoma in stock only it had the light bar on it. Apparently someone ordered the thing then decided they didn't like it and ordered another cover. I didn't like it at first and declined it and then girl at the place told me she would give me the spoiler / light bar for nothing and still knock $100 off and install right then and there. So I didn't have to wait for an ordered one to show up. I paid for it and 30 minutes later it was on the truck and I was driving off.

I don't know if ARE still offers the spoiler but you can buy them from Amazon.com , darspoilers.com and spoilerlights.com I'm sure there are a few other places too. It wasn't really the idea of the spoiler, I liked the extra led light at eye level within the spoiler and the price was right. After being rear ended twice in other vehicles I thought the extra brake light might wake up the guy behind me.

Hs anyone had issues with the Sylvania Lights or any other brank generating to much heat. I had them on my truck before it was vandalized and the headlights appeared to have small cracks in it from inside. Could be the Florida sun. After they were scratched up and replaced I coated new ones with JetSeal from Chemical guys. Never replaced the bulbs but am going to do so soon.

I almost ended my mileage a couple of years ago while surf fishing at Amelia Island state park. I drove out tot the point and was fishing and the tide started coming in really fast. I threw all of my fishing equipment in the back in about three minutes, started driving off the beach and headed towards the parking lot., I drove the last 600 feet watching the tide come in on the beach, the waves back down the beach and then got on the gas for another few feet. Almost had a Toyota submarine. Thankfully the sand held firm enough and long enough for me to get out, but at one point drove through about 6" of water. Headed home and rinsed the under carriage off for an hour then threw a sprinker hose under it and let it go for a couple of hours. No problem.

Too much? No, but generally those bulbs get really hot, so if they make contact with anything it’ll melt. Condensation could also be an issue. Check your rubbel seals that hold your lights in place.

    Btw mine are sylvanias

Thanks I'm probably over thinking it, but Im sure everything will end up fine.

When you say the brake lines might be a pain are you saying just moving the ABS wire out of the way might be difficult?
