Oil and filter changed with amsoil and a d3 filter. Seat covers installed and an onboard air system. Been a good day for the truck.20190310_190117.jpg 20190310_190134.jpg 20190310_190213.jpg 20190310_185940.jpg 20190310_185910.jpg 20190310_185955.jpg

Same one. I mounted it to the backside of the bumper behind the license plate. I had to cut the mounting brackets off the tank and move them to a narrower position.

Do you have a write up on parts you used and how your mounted things? I am interested in how you did it, I was thinking something along the lines of what you did for mine. Using similar parts too.

    Edit:
    Just saw this.

    Nice Work!! Very impressive!

I found it easiest to drop the skid pan and go in from the bottom. Still had to get the power steering pump from the top. I used a couple hand clamps (big close pin looking things) to hold it in position as I went from the ground to under the hood.

Wash, wax and detail. Man I got a lot of door dings this winter!! Hopefully we are done with salt until next year in Indiana! I need to take a picture of the whole truck :)

You don't know how encouraging it is to hear about that. I'm hoping for years more out of this truck.

Frame, recall but had the original hitch assembly rusted. Once I took it all apart, the rust was mostly surface with all paint crumbling. Confirmed with hammer.

    1. Got the wire bushes and 3m wheels out to clean up.
    2. washed it down with dawn.
    3. painted with rustoleum reformer.
    4. Top coat with rustoleum farm and implement spray.

Pics of the Matt reformer coats below. Should get top coat on today.

What he said, Plastidip FTW! I just ran a Lysol wipe over the chrome to get the dust off and then hit it with the Plastidip. 5 Coats. Quick, easy, cheap, reversible, not even a huge need to mask anything either. My only advice would be to make sure your cans of Plastidip are at room temp before spraying anything. It can get really course/clumpy if stored at garage temps this time of year.
