What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Normal bump in the road. It literally rusted apart. Surprised this hasn't caused more of a problem for northern salted climate tacos.

Had shell painted and removed decals were vinyl.

 

Only the center console is the darker grey as shown in the picture (not my truck).

 

'14 4.0L.........81K miles.......drained out a gallon of coolant

replaced with Valvoline/Zerex pink 50/50

100K will do complete flush & thermostat

 

Got my axles from CVJ, hoping to do them and a few other things tomorrow

 

Taking these lil piggies to get wrapped in new rubber. It’s a shame I’ll have to wait a week to get them mounted.

 

Did you go with gray or black? I got them for a sweet price so I bought 5 to have a fully matching spare lol

 

Looks good. I need to do similar and break in the carport. Just got a new clutch master to replace the original that started leaking after the move, and I picked up a slave cylinder too because why not. Also, about due for an oil change, and I ordered parts to add a backup camera to the "new" radio and a few parts to start thinking about installing my CB antenna.

 

Added some trim restorer to my grille for some extra blackness with a punch.

I'd love to have that swapped to the darker shade... where would one find such a thing?

 

Fabbed up some diy roof racks today! Used 3 10’ lengths of shallow profile aluminum unistrut, sanded and sprayed with some bedliner. Drilled and bolted through the top..quite a commiting moment haha. Nice and light and each point is rated for 250lbs, canoe transport is no problem now!

If I ever throw on a roof top tent in the future, I put two pieces of unistrut on the inside so I could put some support brackets from the side rails to the inside unistrut. Also allows the load to be spanned across the entire roof and allows me to hang stuff while camping if need be.

All done for less than 250$ CAD plus or minus the small parts. Beats the 800$ for the usual roof rack setup

It used to be like a charcoal ash color

 

Been work on yard projects after 3 years of neglect due to health issues. So work in the morning repairing sprinkler system and then play with truck and it’s projects for a few hours before energy runs out or I have transport Grand kids to work or Softball practice. Today fitting door decal so I can put them on this weekend when it’s color and kids are gone. Waiting for Retro Hood stripes.
