Well, earlier this week I installed the weathertechs I received from Scott at truck addons. And today I received & installed my color-matched grille! Of course there is always bad with the good... While installing the grille something caught my eye.. I looked down and saw two big paint scuff marks on my driver's side front bumper. Initial shock passed and I realized it was paint from the stupid parking cover support beam. I have the end spot with zero backup or side maneuver room so parking is always very tight. When I saw the scuff I instantly recalled the VERY tight turn I took the previous day. I must have hit and not realized it.

Needless to say I spent an hour washing, gently scraping, polishing with scuff remover and finally waxing the spot. I can barely notice it now. Thank god the beams were wooden and the bumper is soft plastic! I got off easy. I now know to give it a little more leeway when turning (and here I was thinking I had mastered the truck dimensions!)

Holy shit please make a progress thread and add lots of pics... this is something I want to see!! ONCE MORE IN CAPS PLEASE POST PIIIICCCCCCSSSSS!!!!! :D

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
18 miles one way for me. I ride it once in a while but not regular enough. I still wouldn't live closer.

Installed the mirror lift bracket from our own ImMrYo. It allows lifting the top of the mirror all the way to the headliner. It's great. Thanks a lot for making these things.

The thumb knob should operate the side mirrors. That would be sick!

I decided to finally tackle the rear headrest removal. I'm sick of them being in the way. I started to pull things apart and after cussing at those blasted green plugs I see this:

    1ffefcb7_48a40d7e84bdc1849ebe71a92ea0b73d3c2d6840.jpg

Oh goodie. I know EXACTLY what that means. Prior owner had a little oopsie with the rear window.

I had to shake that panel for a good 10 minutes to get all the shards out. Good thing I put this under the headrests to catch the remnants when they came off. This is from just one:

    40b271f7_712a1d1c83af17954313e79c40ff14e0d6eba627.jpg

MUCH better. Now only if I could find a decent way to remove that center console and not have it look terrible.

I got my new ( to me) tires and rims RoadForce balanced. We also had to add the proper hub adapters to go from a stock 106 hub centric hub, to the 108mm inside on the Moto Metals. Truck rides better than it did with stock tires and wheels now.

    balanced tires
    greased shafts
    lubed hinges
    checked fluids and such

Noticed I've got damage to my radiator. Not leaking at ths time, I believe it has been there a while. New rad if I start to heat up this summer.

Good times with my dog and truck..

Went to the dealership to get oil changed and 40k look-over. While I was there, I asked them to program the door locks to not beep when I hit the fob...which they did free of charge. Mighty cool folks there at Wolfchase Toyota in Memphis.

Got my mirror raised up a bit to improve visibility thanks to ImMrYo's new bracket that came in the other day:

Went on in like 5 minutes. Hardest part was finding a torx for the stock mirror bracket screw.

Here's the link to the thread for this mod if anybody's interested. I highly recommend it: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...iew-immryo-rear-view-mirror-lift-bracket.html

Also added some XM satellite music in while I was at it. It's a plug-n-play oynx unit, and it's kinda just stuck in there...not even through routing all the wires yet. Thinking about wiring a "hidden" cig. lighter so I can hide the plug somewhere out of site.

And the truck seriously needs a bath...might do that later today.

Put on 2" receiver for hitch. 20 minutes start to finish.
