108D09B2-12DD-4035-B894-13A8E7D18994.jpg Quick question, anyone ever go to jiffy lube to have there truck serviced and flushed? I normally do oil changes myself but i’m thinking the transmission could probably use a flush and fresh oil. My truck sits at 152k miles which are mostly highway and small town miles, The 1st owner was an older gentleman who babied it, and as a teen going into college who needs a reliable vehicle i do the same. I’ve worked hard to pay this truck off in just under a year and want it to last forever.

I would only go to a trusted independent shop or the dealer for the a/t fluid changes. I dont trust those machines that's pump out the old.and pump in the new. Drain and refill only.

I had some 3M matte black vinyl applied to the roof, dig the subtle detail. I had an OEM rack up there but I never used it and got tired of the look. Also finally installed a black LED third brake light I've had laying around. Then did a clay bar treatment and waxed it, followed by getting stuck in a rain storm of course.

I would just drill those rivits out and put some sort of wire mesh behind it and then re attach the cap. Paint the mesh black.

Someone that is disabled or just not tall enough might be interested. I personally wouldn't give you more that their weight in scrap.

I love just sitting and watching the rain. When it hit Saturday evening, I washed the Taco in the rain and then pulled it into the garage and dried it. My neighbors think I am nuts. Everyone else is weird, I am the normal one here.

My back has never hurt worse than it does now. I am sitting more than ever in my new role. My pointer and middle finger a numb as I type this message. Ive got to move around more!

When that light comes on in Betty, I still have 4 gallons left.

I had a buddy that used to work at an easy lube I believe and he told me that a coworker was working on changing the oil in a corvette, he drained the oil and they couldn’t finger out how to fill it. So they called the customer and told him he would have to take it to the dealership. They left out the fact they have drained the oil already. The guy drove it and clearly the end result was not good

Here are photos of the finished weatherstripping project. The size of stripping fit the ridge line of the door jamb perfectly. Application process was a breeze. My recommendation is to start from the front and work your way towards the back. Then, work the center jamb and down. For a doublecab, 40’ of stripping was perfection. You don’t need to stretch the stripping at all as you apply it, just work a few inches at a time to make sure you’re lining it up, because that’s sticky stuff and the more you fuss with it the less adhesive it will be in the long run.

I did a valvoline shop for a transmission drain/fill. They do not know what they're doing. I guarantee Jiffy Lube wouldn't either.

I might have missed an earlier post, but do you have details on what weatherstripping you used, where bought, etc?

EDIT: Nevermind...I just saw the last picture. How the hell did I miss that on your post? LOL. Disregard....I'm a dumbass.

EDIT again: Ok, I still have a question. Is that round or square weatherstripping? Also is it like a tube (hollow in the middle) or is it solid foam?

I edited the post a few times, so you’re not a dumbass!

It’s round with a flat side and it is hollow in the middle. The foam/rubber is pretty thick so you do have to put a smidge more effort when shutting the door. It’s designed for marine utilization, so it’s super durable. Also means it can be a bit on the pricier side, but I prefer quality for durability sake =]
