    Yes, but...

    Taco Truck collision update:

Axle is indeed bent. Insurance is covering replacement as I was found to be at 0% fault...

And the claim payment is getting deposited in my bank account in 2-3 days. Definitely enough to cover the axle, a new "wheel" and "tire".
Not enough to regear but looks like I'm officially going to be in the market for a new wheel/tire set up. Also, the tire may be fine since it was just the TPMS cap that got ripped off and if the stem is repaired it will be okay but we'll see.

USAA is a good insurance company. :D

I like USAA. Treated me well in my last non-fault accident as well.

How much did they assess a new axle? You could take a look at ECGS and get a sweet Dana 60 or something instead of OEM.

Whole shebang was assessed at $3300... So probably not. May be tight to get all new wheels AND tires. Going to work with my shop to get it figured out.

....but what if you "had" gears already.....

Also, make sure to file diminished value against the at fault driver's insurance.

Glad to hear your safe. Your truck can be repaired or replaced.

    Interdasting...

Too late to tack on other stuff since the adjuster already came through.
But Arizona law allows us to file diminished value claims which I didn't even know was a thing until just now.

I just sent a message to the claims rep I've been working with to see how to do that and if it's not too late.

That's a really good piece of advice considering our vehicles hold more value than almost anything else on the road so even after 200,000 miles and 13 years I'll definitely take a check for what it just depreciated since that accident will forever be associated with the VIN.

Thanks! I'll post back if there's any progress there.

    Never enough
Super tight slip over. 3 pieces per seat. Bottom, back and headrest. They weren't fun to put on but man they look and feel amazing. Have had them on for about a month and everyone asks if my truck came in leather. The other good part about it being 3 pieces is if a piece gets screwed up you can order the 1 piece for relatively cheap. Definitely worth the price in my opinion.

Installed my new-to-me Pelfreybilt aluminum rear bumper. Took 25 minutes to get the old stuff off. 15 minutes to get the new one on.IMG_20190920_082146059_HDR.jpg IMG_20190920_103324157.jpg

For the record, if I had the money I'd be so hyped on your rig. It's an awesome build.
I think it would be super fun to have a regular cab as an offroading rig.

Best of luck with the sale!
