Hey resq330, how do you like your shift knob so far? I just bought one from sick speed and while the ball feels a little small, I really hate how the my fingers feel the lock nut thingy underneath.

Gylar - I really like it! Been wanting one for a while. I don't think the ball feels small at all. Large if anything! I guess because I've had a hurt T-handle shifter in the past, I'm used to feeling the lock nut. No problems for me. You could maybe cover it with black electrical tape or something?

I didn't use the nut. Just some red loctite. Didn't like the look of that nut. Hasn't moved at all. Just an idea if you don't want to use the nut.

Work tells me I have to work some OT this weekend and next weekend and I couldn't wait to do the install myself, so I took it to the local aftermarket shop... 250 +5 dollars cash to the service guy for alignment and install...

Yeah that's them. Initially saw them here on a post with pics of a new guys truck, wanted them every since, due to arrive next week. for some reason they really caught my eye, just something a little different. Bought my new silver DCSB earlier this year applied Klasse cleaner/sealant right away, have added oem running boards, exhaust tips, bed mat mod, weathertechs, and now the center caps. I have off road so sounds like I will have to trim, curious why/how much too long. I had Masterlock but am being refunded- will do hose clamp mod tomorrow. Plan on window tinting, may consider mirror mod.

I was at the local dealer picking up some stuff and one of the salesman walked up from behind the truck as I was getting in, and he was just staring at my truck as he slowly walked around it for a good 20 seconds; finally I gave a little wave so he'd realize I was in it. He waved back and kept staring at the truck as he walked in the building.

It was weird. Who stares at a base tacoma with street tires and steelies when the lot has a dozen SR5/TRD beauties 2 rows over? When I got home I gave it once-over to make sure I didn't have something falling off but all was well.

I doubt it could have been the original owner, he/she lived in NH.
