    Welcome :hattip:
I have been lucky, as my 05' was a Hawaii truck and no frame rot. My suggestion is to get the work completed and keep the truck. You may not want a new truck after all the work. OR, sell AFTER all the work is done. Just my 2¢

yeah was wondering why their new website layout was all funky and not easy to navigate. When I read about the acquisition by trail gear it just gave me this weird feeling in my stomach. Especially since nothing has been announced or said, almost like they don't really care to let people know. Pretty soon all vendors will be owned by trail gear and we will only have the illusion of choice left :tinfoilhat:

I have a pioneer touch screen head unit, and I got a Boss amp install kit 8G, and a Boss 400W 4 channel amp. The gain did not effect the buzz what so ever. I'm not sure how to ground it in the same spot as the speakers since they are all run over factory wires

That's most likely the problem, no offense meant. If your amp has high level inputs (speaker wires vs RCA's) you will probably have better luck using those high level inputs instead of RCA's.

NEVER ground the speaker wires. When I wrote to ground everything in the exact same spot I meant to ground the head unit, amp, and any sound processors at the exact same location. I apologize for not writing that clearer earlier. When I'm installing an amp I never use the factory head units ground wire and always run an extra wire to the amp specifically to ground the head unit wherever the amp is grounded at.

maybe they will fix their shipping estimate generator. Annoying when you throw like $30 worth of stuff in a cart and get a $60 shipping cost that gets adjusted as a refund after being charged the initial price

Ok group I didn’t do anything yet had some issues with my truck yesterday. I drove about 2 hours shut off to unload and about 5 minutes later tried to start again and it just rolled over. My nephew looked at the fuses and and tried to trouble shoot and suggested I unplug the add a fuse I used to wire up some led lights a few weeks back. Did that and it started back up. Parked it while we had dinner and it started fine drove almost all the way back home then it stalled at a light. Sat for an hour while waiting for help, I rolled the key forward and put the truck in drive then back to park and it fired up and we drove home. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to start trying to figure out where to look for an issue? Any help is much appreciated!

Ya I got a cheaper amp to give it a try and see if an amp was even really worth it for me. (I'm not a huge audio dude). It did help alot and I enjoyed it but that hum was annoying so I took everything back out so I could do some more research before hand. I did not however run a new ground for the head unit.

My guess is fuel pump if no codes. Could check, fuse, relay first.

upgraded from the American Racing wheels the truck came with, to some TRD Baja deadlock-style in Bronze, very hyped on how they look!
    Before:

    And After:

I wasn't sure how the stance would change, or if I would need different TPMS sensors, but it turns out both sets of wheels are nearly identical in offset and use the same TPMS sensor.

On a side note, I still have the AR wheels and a set of lugs for them that I'd love to get rid of. I'm in Oklahoma and if you're interested give me a shout.

Got an update on my color matched raptor style grill.
He forgot to paint the black mesh the gunmetal/graphite that I wanted so it's not quite finished yet but I think its shaping up quite well.

Ordered some smoked white leds for the grill to swap out for the amber to see what looks better too.

It was most likely caused by that amplifier. Most of the time that can be solved by using the high level speaker input on the amplifier, not always though.
Stay with a well known major brand stereo amplifier and I'm sure you'll be happier next time.

If the problem occurs again pay attention to what else, if anything, doesn't work on the truck and that will be useful in diagnosis of the problem. It's interesting moving the shifter allowed it to start up.
