It will be a lot easier if you have the plug and play adapter.

A wire hanger will be your friend when threading the wires for the temperature sensor.

Rolling on Nitto Ridge Grapplers now. I had trouble with the Falken Wildpeaks being out of round and causing vibrations. Not sure if anyone else has had any issues with the Wildpeaks.

Not wild peaks but I went through 2 sets of duratracs in a year. Because they were out of round and shook like crazy

It got so windy at work the podium i use nearly hit me so I took the magnetic placard off and put it on my truck.

I installed the same mirror in my 2014 Sport 4x4 at the end of October. I would suggest having some kind of plastic tool to remove the plug covers on the door handle. Covers
popped off easily for me. It was my first time taking the A frame trim off, scared me to death I would not be able to get it all back together. I know I took much longer than many others
for the install. Taking the grill off was surprisingly easy, I ran the wire loom along the hood release.

It was 3 evenings for me. One to remove the grill and get wires through the fire wall, another to get wires from overhead console fished to the floor, and the third for solder and heat
shrink. If I already had the heat gun purchased ahead of time, I could have done it in 2 nights.

Good luck. I knew it was crazy to have the temperature and to do all the wiring, etc. However, I was determined if the overhead console was getting removed, I might as well
do all the wiring for temperature.

The temperature and compass is a great addition.

Hopefully, you bought the mirror and wiring from Bob's Mirrors. He made it smooth and encouraged me that I could really do the install even though it was my first time doing anything like this.

Compass and temp in the mirror sounds good, losing the backup cam in my 2011 sounds bad.

As long as they're big clips and everything is clean yes it's big enough.

The inverter and zip ties make it so easy to do Christmas lights. Push-button for on, key-off for auto off

I think the main reason is so you can use it whenever and not just in 4 low. I have done the relay mod on mine so I can already do that. But also just so they match. There could be a better reason than that, but i dont know what it is either.
